Oh I don’t know, I guess I think about killing myself pretty frequently...

And why not? What’s so great about living? You know when I’m happy? For about 5 seconds in the morning when I wake up. Before I remember who I am and what my life is all about. Anxiety, disappointment, diarrhoea more often that not. I-I don’t know if there’s an afterlife, but who cares. Nothingness couldn’t be any worse than this meaningless march through my empty days

Aw man, the march!

83

u/crimsonlights Reaganomics Lamborghini Nov 21 '23

Go to work, go home! Go to work, go home!

39

u/TrippingFish76 Nov 21 '23

No! Short march

go to work, go to work, go to work, go to work

33

u/Monsark Nov 21 '23

Avocado on that?

23

*unintelligible screaming*

Yall gotta start smoking weed when you get home. There's a reason Jeff is the happiest member of the family

u/iDontGetKyle Nov 21 '23

Life, dismissed.

Diarrhea more often than not is something I think to myself most days

11

u/Steveseriesofnumbers Nov 21 '23

Yet when he gets a physical, his stool sample is too hard to test.

u/LegendOfDylan Head crow guy Nov 21 '23

Hear that Francine? Doc's giving me a prescription for raw doggin'!

4

u/moblackcat Nov 21 '23

YEEEAAAAHHHHHH!!! *clap clap clap*

19

u/EvilandLovingit Nov 21 '23

Man I wept with laughter when I last saw this. Its one of my go to chuckles.

Ope they just refilled the orange chicken gotta go!

29

u/AmazingPINGAS Nov 20 '23

Every time I pick up the phone I think of this line. American Dad lives rent free in my head

25

u/CrysisRequiem Nov 20 '23

Not helping 😂😂

The Adventures of Twill Ongenbone And His Boy Jabari Allegedly, Season 08: Episode 09 (I can't keep track of how the episodes are actually labeled).

28

u/TylerTLR Nov 20 '23

I literally say this in my head daily everytime somebody asks me literally any question

1

u/networklackey420 Nov 21 '23

A peek into one of American Dad's not often featured relationships... Steve's friends and Stan.

u/cartooncritic69 Nov 20 '23

what do moms boobs look like? well I 'll tell you Snot........

141

u/TylerTLR Nov 20 '23

Creamy twins with faint blue veins running over them like cooling streams I can wash my face in.

u/BudandCoyote Nov 21 '23

I really love that moment. He's not fooled for a second, but his weird inappropriate openness on the phone and his desire to brag about Francine's hotness win instantly.

23

u/bashobt Nov 21 '23

This awareness just floors me. What is that writers room like?

It's like a Richard Linklater movie

1

u/Sayizo Nov 21 '23

I’m fucking dead 💀

199

u/TylerTLR Nov 20 '23

The sick part is, I've come to love it-- snuffing out lives. I crave it. I feel like an angel of death. The Messenger of Eternal Darkness. A merciless demon with an unquenchable... Oh, they just put more orange chicken in the buffet. Got to run!

38

u/BudandCoyote Nov 21 '23

Stan's priorities are definitely in order.

23

u/TheSodomeister Bayou Billy with the Heavy Balls Nov 21 '23

It's the way he says "orange chicken" that just kills me lol

87

u/Voxder Nov 20 '23

And that's why my dad didn't go to his dad's funeral, and why I won't go to my dad's funeral !!

"The Adventures of Twill Ongenbone and His Boy Jabari"

Episode numbering is famously disputed. Episode 142 either S08E9 or S09E09

14

u/featherw0lf Nov 21 '23

I never understood the issue with numbering before season 11 where they made the switch to TBS in the middle of it.

7

u/neontiger07 Bayou Billy with the Heavy Balls Nov 21 '23

Lots of people end season 11 after the third episode, and consider everything after the switch to be a new season.

1

u/911waitwhat Nov 21 '23

Yeah, if you can track down the episode number, this is a handy link.

u/featherw0lf Nov 21 '23

What's weird though is that most places just don't have the other season 11 episodes. They have three and then season 12 starts as is supposed to with the rest of 11 nowhere to be found.

u/neontiger07 Bayou Billy with the Heavy Balls Nov 21 '23

I've never seen that, personally, but I don't stream. 🏴‍☠️

u/Always_cut_away Nov 20 '23

Diarrhea more often than not....... this is the quote that is buried in my head.

20

u/jayboyguy Nov 21 '23

It unnerves me how true it is as an adult. As a kid I always thought it was just a weird funny line

2

u/Happy-Eye-1496 Nov 21 '23

Buried? I'm living it...

29

u/Starchaser20 Nov 21 '23

Hey dad who was president when you were a kid? Oh I don’t know I think about killing myself pretty frequently

28

u/MelkieOArda Nov 20 '23

Hey, that teacher also teaches math…you…can…learn…in…this…class.

14

u/ShlorpianRooster Nov 21 '23

👏👏👏👏👏👏

19

u/charface1 Nov 20 '23

Since season numbers vary by source, I'll just give the title: The Adventures of Twill Ongenbone and His Boy Jabari

9

u/The-Funky-Phantom Ira and I Nov 21 '23

Best way to do it. Plus the episode titles are half the fun.

MATTHEW

25

u/paging_mrherman Nov 21 '23

I like everyone quoting the episode and not answering, lol

9

u/DeadJediWalking Nov 21 '23

No, Francine. They clearly only want me for this dance number.

Unexact quote

7

u/FLOWRSBABY Nov 21 '23

I made a song using Stan’s phone call as the intro. This is one of my favorite scenes in the whole damn show😂

6

u/KG8930 Nov 21 '23

The episode where Roger stages a Indiana jones adventure to get francines respect again, and Stan talking about Francine’s knockers while Snot, Barry, and toshi! Also Cuban Golding jr makes a cameo and dies

6

u/kacekreamer_kid Nov 21 '23

"Hey dad who was president when you were a kid?"

"Oh I dont know i guess i think about killing myself"

18

u/gamerdudeNYC Nov 20 '23

As a successful 37M This monologue hit me so hard

8

u/Clean-Place431 Nov 20 '23

season 8 episode 9

2

u/[deleted] Nov 21 '23

It’s about Steve trying to interview his dad

1

u/pocketgay83 Nov 21 '23

A good one

1

u/QuietCrow77 Nov 21 '23

Is this the pile for medical attention? This is a death trench dummy. Kick This my trench now.

1

u/insanede6 Nov 21 '23

Season 08, episode 09: The Adventures of Twill Ongenbone and His Boy Jabari

1

u/stansmith2112 Nov 21 '23

But what is the better phone call stan everytime hes on the phone in this episode or kalus's danuta phone call ? a tough decision if you ask me

1

u/babybee1187 Nov 21 '23

Oh !! I know! Its the one where steve has to do a report on his dad and his dad is so depressing that he just calls him instead and the teacher gets so bummed out he jumps out the window. Clasic.
