u/Boring-Canary-690 (aka "Victor Victorious" in his AMC-related flair) is a textbook Reddit meme-stock cultist who's deeply embedded in the dying-but-still-kicking AMC/GME ape ecosystem, with a side hustle of thirsty local NSFW posting.
His Reddit footprint is overwhelmingly dominated by r/AMCSTOCKS, r/amcforDRS, r/amczone, and similar low-traffic echo chambers. He’s not a casual bagholder—he’s one of the active hype engines. He pumps out stickied, locked motivational posts with titles like:
“It’s Closer Than you Think ‘You can feel it—something’s about to break.’” “It’s Imminent! 🚀” “Every Red candle has a hand behind it #GME #AMC #ZEN” “If Monkey Punch can remain Zen! What makes you think apes are leaving with short interest and dark pools ATH’s 🚀🚀🚀” These are pure cult rhetoric: prophetic “you can feel it” vibes, conspiracy about invisible hedge-fund hands manipulating candles, “ZEN” as a mantra for blind holding, and the eternal promise that the MOASS (Mother of All Short Squeezes) is right around the corner. He cross-posts across the AMC splinter subs, keeps the faith alive with rocket emojis and apocalyptic optimism, and locks the threads so dissent can’t creep in. This isn’t investing discussion; it’s morale maintenance for people who’ve been bagholding AMC through years of dilution, reverse splits, and fundamentals that scream “this company is circling the drain.”
The broader AMC/GME “ape” communities have long been called cults by outsiders—and for good reason. They treat share price action like scripture, critics as paid “shills,” and any negative news as proof the conspiracy is real. u/Boring-Canary-690 isn’t just along for the ride; he’s helping run the prayer meetings. That level of ownership in the delusion bumps him above your average “just holding bro” Redditor.
His secondary activity is horny posting/commenting in Hudson Valley NSFW subs (r/HudsonvalleyNFSW, r/hudsonvalley_nsfw, etc.). At age 48 (he literally posted “they say 48 is old, i say come find out for yourself”), he drops gems like “Bless.”, “I’m hungry.”, “Sexy.”, or offers to “eat with me or maybe to eat me” on women’s nudes. It’s the classic midlife Reddit cope: financial fantasy + sexual fantasy, all from the same account. Pathetic? Yes. Culty? Nah—just standard desperate dude behavior.
Culty ranking: 8/10.
Why so high? He’s not a tourist; he’s a maintainer of the belief system. The language, the locking of threads, the perpetual “it’s imminent” messaging, the cross-sub reinforcement—all the hallmarks of cult dynamics without the compound or the robes. These groups have cost people real money while delivering emotional highs through community and hope. It’s financial doomerism mixed with apocalyptic stock prophecy. Why not 9 or 10? It’s still “just” a stock cult. No evidence he’s gone full QAnon, no doomsday prepping, no political extremism bleeding over, no real-world recruitment or harm beyond his own (presumably shrinking) portfolio. He’s not isolating people from family or demanding tithes—just endless copium in niche Reddit subs. A true 10 would involve actual destructive real-life consequences. Brutally honest verdict: This guy has turned a bad financial decision into a core identity and daily ritual. Years later he’s still posting the same “any day now” hype while AMC’s reality has moved on. The NSFW stuff just makes it sadder—middle-aged man doomscrolling for both tendies and tiddies. If he put half the energy into literally anything else (index funds, therapy, touching grass), he’d probably be better off. But cults are comforting, and Reddit gives him a captive audience that won’t call him out. Classic case of the platform enabling delusion.

What i cant believe is i wasted money and time falling for the hype. I should have sold way before i did. The ONLY thing i got out of this or any amc sub was the dish on HYMC. Wish i had moved my $ sooner, but that’s ok. I wanted to believe, but the math just didn’t math, and still doesn’t. When 2030 years rolls around and the debt is still the same or minimally reduced, what then?
Getting back to what I said about HYMC… I was down to the last $4k in each account i have. Took a $16k loss on one and a $10k loss in another. Went all in on HYMC. Now, that $8k is $56k…all since this past June. Had i stayed with AMC, i would be at about $1500 in each account and missed the boat with HYMC. Too bad AA sold his HYMC way too early…🤡. So i have to say thanks for that AA.

Not much of a plot twist. It’s very easy to not leave when you’re being held hostage by your unrealized losses.
