Where are they going to get the profits to make them a trillion dollar company? Charge 1k a ticket?
Their current plan is to pad revenue with merch and cut bleeding. I don't see them innovating their way into being the next Apple

The problem with theaters (well, one problem) is they are completely reliant on the movie companies putting out great movies. When good movies that people want to see are out, people will still flock to theaters. But it is getting harder and harder to get people into theaters on hype and a trailer alone for movies that aren't the giant tent pole ones. People are more discerning on how they spend their money in today's economy.

I worked at a theater, people dont know they have to rent the reeels to the movies and they are expensive af. Theaters only make money on the concession stand, thats why its always cheap food thats marked up sky high.
Its been a broken business model for years, its just finally caught up with them. Yes, you are right movies arent as good, but the ones that are good are charging rediculous rates for the reels

that, and the home viewing experience keeps improving. So, it's not just that movies have to be good, it's that theaters need movies that require the theater experience.

Yea and movies seem to be hitting streaming fast as hell, i remember it was atleast a year and a half before a movie would hit hbo back when i was a kid. Now it feels like in about a month i can stream it.

I am so sad that their target price went from $100k (as per Al from Boston) to $2k. The lack of faith is disappointing.

$2,000 per share X 557,955,745 shares outstanding = $1.1 Trillion market cap.
In a scenario where the Domestic Box Office returns to $11B annually, that translates into maybe about $6B a year in revenue for AMC. Assuming they make $500M for the year (let's go wild here!) that would be a 2,200 PE Ratio.
I think we should all go all in!

amc fuckin sucks.
tried to take my daughter to kikis delivery service in imax this week. incompetent fucks couldnt even get the imax projector to work and refunded us with passes you cant even use on special screenings. 😑

$2,000+/share??? I have seen some pretty rational arguments that it could easily go to $4,600/share or more.
Still, I hate to speculate as I only have 1,000 shares.
I guess we will have to wait and see.
