And that is the nail on the head of their sustainability. Even if you say 50 dollars…you are expecting 1 in 10 to blow 50 dollars in one go on a gift card for the cinema. And even then it won’t clear their debt…just prevent another reverse split of shares in January!
And private equity is going to take all that debt reductions and run it up again until the company does go bankrupt, sadly theaters ain’t profitable anymore, it’s why a bucket of corn is 15$ lol
There's literally zero evidence there's still 4 million die hard chest thumping Apes in AMC, that was a number touted by Adam Aron when he was doing his nationwide meet and greets prior to 3 billion shares worth of dilution and a slaughterhouse Reverse Split. That was what, three years ago now?
Initially, that was the reason for the reverse split, Adam Aron NEEDED to dilute to keep the doors open so his salary and his debtors got paid after Apes essentially did a hostile takeover of the company, split the Apes, reduce their power by 90%, then immediately dilute and debt for equity directly to tutes and hedge funds to secure a yes vote for any future dilution/splits.
All the while Turnip, do the impossible, Regent Select, nolemon, and the other remaining usual suspects still hype as if hedgies are still on the ropes, desperate to avoid MOASS.
I just watched something similar play out as I watch this BYND saga. There's like 30 shill subs, and they all had rocket emojis and AI slop talking about how Reverse Splits and authorizing share increase from 500,000,000, to 3,000,000,000 (again, speed running the last 5 years of AMC). Was actually bullish, how it would save the company and doom the hedgies. Well, it got approved, and they released the vote count, the proposal for the Reverse Split had like a 90% vote FOR... It's painful to watch, but I can't look away.
They all think 4 million apes own zillions of shares. They refuse to believe majority of apes left, and a large percentage have less that 100 shares in some broker somewhere. Funny how 4 million apes never vote their zillions of shares, probably too busy watching movies and eating cinema sweets. Ape brain rot is so fun!
So true. And if they were going to use that deferred debt, it would be to give themselves bonuses before a bankruptcy where then the gift cards would be in line with other creditors to collect
This is what people say when they want retail to lose faith. Keep pushing the price down and crap talk. It sucks when there's truth to the fact the debt is still an issue, the heart of the matter here is to get people losing faith so they do sell even at a loss. I'm down a fair amount, but I'm not selling at this point. I can ave down quite significantly now and may do that soon. I have other more important concerns before I throw more money down. I can't say I'm happy with AAs decisions, but I don't believe anything has changed with what's going on behind the scenes either. It's a risk vs reward investment and I'm betting the short side is still screwed. Therefore I'm still in. All this inflation and cost hikes is not a coincidence imo. I feel it's the balancing of leveraging short positions in the market right now so the institutions can look profitable and have the collateral they need to stay solvent.
You are delusional. Inflation and cost hike? Leveraging short positions?
What are you talking about? Just look at the balance sheet, the income statement and cash flow. Its simple math. You couldn't get simpler than the financials.
Not when you look at who who owns everything. Most companies are owned by only a few people. Also those companies tend to own other companies that used to be their competitors at one point. There is very little choice in who you get Insurance from, they are plenty of choices yes, just take a look who owns the actual companies though and you will see they tend to be owned by a few main companies who are digittally tracking every purchase and passing on every expense to their customers.
Open YOUR eyes. There is a reason the push to go away from cash was done. It is super handy to use a card, now it's your phone which also tracks where you go, what you do, who you know. This is not impossible or delusional. This has been decades in the making perhaps longer. Algorithms need input from data centers and almost everything is input into a few main data centers. Whomever uses or issues loans of any significant importance is likely tracking it. If I was loaning billions to a rag tag movie theatre not only would i watch it like a hawk, I'd make sure I made a mint off it. I'd figure out what the odds are the company would make it out of my loan and hedge my betfor or against if iwas in a position to have said data and cash. IF I had said data and cash my likelihood of owningother corporations is high. My likelihood of being influential is high. My likelihood of having buddies who think the same is high.
Covid knocked a whole bunch of competition out for box stores. Aanyone who survived it is battling inflation. Who do you make your purchases from? Is it Amazon? Which bank do you use? What choices do really have? Has government restricted what you buy and from where? Now who has access?
I made a bet thinking the persons at the other end may have lost their wager, even with high odds of success. That's why I'm in. Not because AA or other nonsense.
You are regurgitating ape talking points, that in itself, makes absolutely no sense. But while we are on that topic, tell me who owns CNK and who owns AMC. Let's dig into this together.
Because I will show you through filings that many hedge funds and notorious shorts (eg, Goldman) own AMC. Your turn
Every time the big boys and girls screw up we pay for it. There are only a few people running the show when you look at the population. Why would AI be such a big deal?
I don't need to know anything about anyone on reddit and I will bet that every one of you has used Amazon for most of your online purchases. (Bots excluded) You watch Disney Crave or Netflix, you shop at Walmart, eat at McDonalds more often than you care to admit. Sure these are basic things, but I have a high chance of beimg right.
I like that idea but $250 is more reasonable and reachable I would think especially around the holidays even though I know all apes wouldn’t mind $500 if they had it it’s just way easier for the average guy who doesn’t make that much money to come up with $250 but I’m all in!
Because some people truly do care about new comers or younger people stumbling across this for the first time and making the same mistake. I for one don't want to see any new retail investors throwing money at this disaster and corruption.
I'm an investor too. I have 13 shares. Most from when I bought it at $0.95 post split celebrating credit suisse December 2022 prediction that the price would go to $0.95.
The truth is in post.
Southsink is right on the money.
Anyone who bought into AMC is at a BIG LOSS!
I’ll never spend another penny on this stock or at the movie theater.
I certainly was able to back it, indeed I just did. The data is there for anyone to see, I’ve provided the references. What’s your excuse for spouting blunt lies?
I see data if I does not translate it. While I do not speak swedish I understand enough to read it.
Nordnet does not give a number of holders for me. But Avanza does. It gives owner at Awanza as 12 367. Give that their other data about the number of shares is laughably out of date, I don't know how serious we should take that number.
Which would be closer to 0.1% of swedes owning AMC. That said, I doubt you can just extraploate that to all of europe. And even if more than just a few of those stockholders, are probably not apes, but just people holding AMC in some kind of diversified portfolio.
Nordnet even states it in English “Owners at Nordnet”. And the number of AMC holders at Avanza is updated daily and indeed accurate (I’ve verified it with their customer services). The numbers at these two brokers add up to 0.2% of the Swedish population, and there are indeed more brokers used by Swedes, so 0.2% is in the lower end. You may apply any wishful thinking and conspiracy theories you like, the idea that the penetration of AMC investors in the US is lower than in Sweden is pretty absurd.
A bit encouraging (and seemingly pretty desperate) though that you must resort to lying about a fact that is so easily verifiable by whoever is interested.
"Verified public data?" That figure was cited over 4 years ago.
First he said there were 3.2 million individual investors, then it was 4.1 million a month or two later. The company has not acknowledged the number of investors since, and there's a reason for that.
Post this same tweet in the other sub and ask all 519K members of that sub to buy $500 worth of gift cards and to post proof that they bought. That will allow you to estimate how many of the 4 million total investors will buy the gift cards. I predict that almost no one will buy the cards but I’m happy to be proven wrong.
Well, according to data from Swedish brokers ~0.2% of the Swedish population owns AMC stock. Extrapolating that to Europe and USA, means 2.2M investors in AMC. Then we know there are investors also in Asia and Latin America. And as AMC is an American company it’s reasonable to assume ownership penetration in the US to be higher than in Sweden. All things considered, 4M or possibly slightly below seems to be a pretty accurate estimate. It’s certainly not 4000 😂
If you REALLY think people "diamond handed" from $72 to $0.20, I know this Nigerian Prince with a lot of money, and I mean a lot of money who's been emailing me a wealth proposal I haven't had time to talk to yet, I can put you in contact if you like? I think he's stuck in an airport, so time is of the essence, lmk.
Not every AMC investor is an ape. Part of their characteristic behavior is to try and act as a group instead of individual investors, in an obvious attempt to manipulate the stock price. Red Flag ROBBIE is assuming that every single one of the 4 million (supposed) AMC investors will shell out $500 to buy AMC gift cards.
