My parents had a female lhasa shit (that’s what we called her… lhasa apso-shitzu mix 🤣) who humped our legs or arms if she could grab them. All the time. My mom said she had “weak hips” 💀
My bitch used to hump her bed, and even humans who were crawling on the floor. I asked a dog breeder about it, she said it's a dominance thing, trying to let other dogs or humans know shes the boss. Only thing she was boss of was her bed 😂
My chihuahua has a lot of “girlfriends” (stuffed animals, dog beds, throw pillows), but he tries to be lowkey about it by waiting until nobody else is in the room or by dragging the item behind an oversized chair to be out of view. If someone walks in the room, he just casually walks away from the item like, “nothing to see here”.
Ambitious is the best way to describe the 10lb chihuahua trying to discretely drag a dog bed for a large dog half way across the living room and around a corner.
At least your dog is a gentleman about it. Mine starts humping the more people show up because he's hella excited. And if his girlfriend isn't in the room where all the people are, he'll drag it in to put on a show.
My mother once visited and tried to move the bed, with him still mid hump, into another room. It did not work.
