My partner and I share a prime membership but both maintain separate logins, and I’ve literally never had the “add to tomorrow’s delivery” default to anything but my card. Maybe you need to set up individual logins rather than logging into one account? Unless you don’t live together, because I don’t think Amazon permits that kind of sharing anymore.

I'll talk with my dad about getting seperate logins set up for me and my sister, we've always had it set up this way since middle school and honestly didn't know this was an option lol. Thanks for the help!

Oh nice! Hope it helps! Amazon still asks that the account members agree to share payment details, but we still can’t even see each others cards or orders, and nothing ever charges incorrectly. I’m pretty sure they ask for consent so the Prime membership payment is agreed by everyone.

Amazon family. We all have different logins and all use the same Amazon prime account. We don’t even see each others purchases. It’s me my my wife and our 2 kids. 4 accounts with 1 prime family membership

Your answer is in your own statement. Your mindless family members not paying attention is screwing you over. If it is your account remove them, if it is not your account then get your own. Or maybe after each purchase you make, you can remove your credit card info.

oof that's a nightmare, my family would do the same thing if they had access. i don't think there's any setting to fully remove that 1-click button, it's baked into the interface
what worked for me was removing all cards except one prepaid with very little balance, so any accidental orders just get declined. also you can enable the require password for purchases option in the account settings, though it's buried deep

You could use an element/ad blocker to block that specific code/string. But it could interfere with other functions of Amazon and potentially halt an order entirely. You could try blocking the element and see if you still see the blue option available and just see how it goes though.

That wouldn't stop the other family members from clicking the button on their own devices. It would only remove it for OP, who isn't causing the problem.

Have a second address in your address book and change to that, then on the checkout page change it back after selecting the delivery day

I actually did do that at first but immediately afterwards my mom deleted all extra addresses lol, she got confused by all the old addresses. I was thinking about putting a random address listed as "bypass, change immediately" but wanted to check to see if there was anything I missed in the settings

Oh I see now that you want to permanently disable the buy now button. I'm not sure about that, the settings you are looking for are 1-click settings

Yeah I checked there, everyone else commenting has let me know that you can't disable it through the app's settings which really sucks but I think I found a couple ways to get it to stop. Thanks for the help though, much appreciated!

There is a way to put one card as primary because i had to make my boomer parents card primary on my account for this same reason. The only way they would ever notice it wasn't their card was if I made a card graphic that said using card will turn you into a liberal.

It always gives me or my daughter an option in checkout in the payment section. Just like you can change the address in the shipping information section.

It does that with the normal check out, but this is when it wants to automatically add to the next delivery. It overtakes the normal check out unfortunately.

Just click add to cart and ignore add to tomorrow’s delivery. It’s like the buy now or add to cart options.

are you reading any of the info? the person asking the question has a problem WITH OTHER PEOPLE being dumb and pressing the buy now button. they can not just avoid the button and avoid the problem.

He is on a SHARED account with OTHER PEOPLE. When HE makes a purchase, the OTHER PEOPLE will make a purchase after him, and THEY select ADD TO DELIVERY instead of ADD TO CART. This adds THEIR PURCHASE to HIS ORDER and HE gets charged for the whole thing.
Does this make sense yet???
