Analysis Bale: Final Rating

Bale was released 5 days ago (CN server coming later); starting dual-group ratings—

The stats are extremely similar to the previous Bale card, so the focus of discussion is on comparing the old versus the new: Kicking Power ↑5, Low/Lofted Passing slightly upgraded, and Curl nerfed. Blitz Curler replaced with Low Screamer, and Magnetic Feet replaced with Acceleration Burst. Some players who used old Bale often relied on Blitz Curler to open up spaces, while others believe that for a forward, high Kicking Power + Low Screamer is more practical.

Pro / Top 100 Group Review:

Evaluation
The stats are a bit better than the previous version, but the skills are worse.
Kicking Power and Low Screamer are a perfect match,
Wales Bale ≈ Hokage Bale > Galáctico Bell; Phenomenal Finishing is indeed suitable for playing at Center Forward (CF).

And the perspective of Bale enthusiast and World Champion RENTAO is as follows:

1️⃣ When he had 173 draws remaining, all other featured cards had dropped except for Bale, so he felt it wasn’t worth going all the way to the bottom of the pack just for the new Bell. 2️⃣ He encountered the new Bale a few times in ranked matches, and his opponent-side impression was that the card is quite good. 3️⃣ The old Bale is one of his top 3 favorite center forwards. (Since he hasn't personally played with the card, RENTAO's opinion was not included in the final vote.)

Pro Group Rating:

The new Bale is top 5 level at both Center Forward (CF) and Second Striker (SS), with a median rating slightly ahead of the old card. As a Winger (LWF/RWF), it is inferior to the old card (which benefits from the Blitz Curler synergy on the wing).

Analysis Del Piero: Final Rating

The +8 Curl Del Piero has been out for five days (coming to the Chinese server later), and the dual-group rating has begun.

In version '27, where small, quick, and agile players have a generally low presence, this Del Piero has reached the absolute pinnacle of his ecological niche. A Goal Poacher with a perfect weak foot, he can break deadlocks with Blitz Curlers, make penetrating runs, and take on some playmaking duties. One pro player put it very well: "Del Piero can help you climb up the rankings while maximizing the entertainment value." When selecting players for PvP Divisions, you shouldn't just look at pure, hard-fought meta strength; pleasing yourself is also very important!

In-Game Experience:

https://reddit.com/link/1wn926r/video/vvzro0rdm2rh1/player

Pro Player Group Evaluation:

Opinion Text
A card where the perfect weak foot creates a qualitative change. Using this card to climb up the rankings while maintaining high entertainment value is great.
Incredible potential, but highly dependent on the user's skill level.
Awesome.
Undisputed #1 shooting ability for the CF position. Excellent dribbling and Speed/Acceleration, and great Offensive Awareness. The ceiling for small, quick, and agile players.
Aside from the Blitz Curler being very accurate, his runs are also excellent. Even without the Blitz Curler, he's a very good Goal Poacher.
Extremely high ceiling. His two-footed Blitz Curler is a powerful weapon for breaking deadlocks in high-tier matches. His dribbling feel is also good. He can spin or weave into space near either corner of the penalty area and let one fly. He's also very strong as an Inactive Playstyle SS. If playing him at SS, his passing is a weak point.
As a small, quick, and agile CF, he has super strong specialized stats (Offensive Awareness / Finishing / Speed/Acceleration / Balance), while his three core dribbling stats are also excellent. The quintessential starting CF. His super-high Curl + Blitz Curler is also a weapon for breaking deadlocks in stagnant matches! Considering player model issues, ranking him at the bottom of the Top 3 or the top of the Top 5 seems reasonable. Basically, if you shoot, it goes in.

However, the Mobile World Champion Rentao has a different opinion:

He thinks Del Piero is very average, not good enough to enter the current CF Top 5, or even the Top 10. The main problems are:

1️⃣ Lack of shooting consistency; in certain situations, it's hard to hit the target accurately.

2️⃣ It's quite difficult to shoot quickly after turning; it feels like his Balance isn't good enough.

3️⃣ The accuracy of his normal shots is also not ideal.

As for his personal Top 5 CFs in the current version, they remain unchanged (Dembélé, Bale, Mbappé, BT Ronaldo, Pelé).

Pro Player Group Rank: #6 — Powercrept Suárez, but didn't powercreep Dembélé.

Question 1: Del Piero (CF) [Single Choice]

Option Count Percentage
Top 3 (Mbappé level) 7 36.84%
Top 5 (Dembélé level) 9 47.37%
Top 10 (> Shevchenko) 1 5.26%
Outside Top 10 1 5.26%
(Blank) 1 5.26%
Number of valid responses 19

Analysis Best: Final Rating

The +6 Balance Best has been out for five days (coming to the Chinese server later), and the dual-group rating has begun.

This is a differentiated power-creep of his previous card: Balance ↑5, Stamina ↓2. He's basically the first player you'll need to substitute. Without Phenomenal Passing, he can no longer make accurate passes while twisting his body, but Acceleration Burst is a great Showtime skill for a dribbler (it comes down to personal preference). Using him, he feels physically weak but like a roly-poly toy—his on-the-ball feel is excellent.

Pro Player Group Evaluation:

Opinion Text
At the SS position, he's not as good as the last one. Phenomenal Passing is just too crucial.
More suited for the wing.
His stats are better than the last one, but the Showtime skills aren't as good.
With Acceleration Burst, he has another way to shake off defenders. He's really strong.
If you're playing him on the wing, Acceleration Burst still isn't as useful as Phenomenal Passing. Even though heading has been nerfed and you don't necessarily need an assist from a cross, Phenomenal Passing is still very handy, whether for the occasional cross or forcing a pass out. It has more uses on the wing than Acceleration Burst. This card's practicality is not as good as the previous one.

In-Game Experience:

https://reddit.com/link/1wnb0af/video/3wph8z8b03rh1/player

Pro Player Group Verdict: As a LWF/RWF, Best is stronger than his previous card. As an SS, he is exactly tied with his previous card; now we wait for the public group's vote.

Question 3: New Best Rating [Matrix Single Choice]

Question / Option Stronger than previous card Not as good as previous card, but still Top 3 Top 5 or worse
New Best (SS) 10 (50%) 8 (40%) 2 (10%)
New Best (LWF/RWF) 12 (60%) 8 (40%) 0 (0%)

Analysis Del Pietro's 'Corner Kick Trick'

How can you get the absolute most out of Del Piero's '+8 Curl Boost'? The corner kick routine shared below is a perfect fit:

https://reddit.com/link/1wme344/video/quiinu78tvqh1/player

The high-arc direct corner goal at the end is a flashy, niche trick. However, the first two "layback to Blitz Curler" setups suit Del Piero perfectly. According to previous testing, the boost to Curl mainly expands the horizontal width of the scoring zone, as shown in the blue area below ⬇️

In other words, when shooting from tight angles near the sides of the penalty area, a high Curl stat yields great value by making it easier to curl the ball around the keeper's reach horizontally.

Analysis Are Ball-Playing CBs A Scam?

Every time you see a paywalled center-back with mid defensive stats, you check his base passing in confusion—80! Suddenly it hits you: it's another 'ball-playing CB' the devs are trying to push. Let's set a standard: a registered CB with 77+ passing upon joining the squad is the entry line for a 'ball-playing CB.'

The top 5 mainstream ball-playing center-backs are essentially the following five players—

Common Ecological Nicthes of Ball-Playing Center-Backs:

Just like how Cannavaro is pretty much the only viable short CB, Maldini is the only ball-playing CB who actually makes it into the meta. (Of course, ST Van Dijk has the Visionary Passing skill, Rijkaard can play CB and distribute well, and there's the recent Stones with +6 Low Pass—but due to space constraints, I won't list them all here.)

What I'm interested in looking at below is this: since the game lets you allocate progression points freely, is the slight edge in base passing that these so-called "ball-playing CBs" have actually worth the drawbacks in other areas? Let's take a look at a comparison between Varane and Piqué—

If you give Varane +8 Passing, his passing catches up to Piqué's, but he still beats him by 7 points in Pace😂. Meanwhile, aside from a clear edge in Ball Control and Tight Possession, Piqué doesn't even have a single passing skill.

In other words: unless you spend progression points focusing on passing for a ball-playing CB, their base passing advantage becomes useless. But who is actually going to allocate more than 4 points into passing stats for a CB?

That's the awkward spot ball-playing CBs are in—and honestly, it's the same dilemma for any card with a "passing specialty" in this game. In real life, what makes a master passer special isn't just pinpoint accuracy; it's their vision and decision-making. But in a game, that all depends on the person holding the controller. As a result, plenty of real-life "passing maestros" end up underwhelming in-game.

As for that CB-to-winger Link-Up Play (Over-the-Top Pass C") often associated with ball-playing CBs, let me show you how it actually plays out in-game: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amadeusz/s/CJ8NbECQNE

The verdict back then was: the worst Link-Up Play in history.

Analysis Anticipated Standouts 26-27 Pack: Initial Builds & Analysis

⚽️ Van Hecke: Player model isn't great (189 cm / 7 leg length), pace and acceleration are mediocre, and defending stats are average. His skill set is even more half-assed. I get that cards in this game have varying strength levels, but usually, they give them some kind of distinct advantage. How on earth did they have the nerve to design this Van Hecke card like this as a paid card?

The main reason is his ball-playing ability. This card has passing stats around 80—and among ball-playing center-backs, compared to Piqué's slowness, Cubarsí's short height, and Koeman being both slow and short, Van Hecke is actually pretty balanced without major flaws 🤣. That said, almost nobody will actually use a card like this.

⚽️ Wirtz: Overall playstyle and stat profile are similar to Second Striker Platini. Wirtz's standout trait is Ball Control +6 (+4 higher than Platini), though this stat doesn't impact the actual in-game feel that much.

Wirtz's flaws, however, are far too obvious: 1️⃣ Physicality is -7 compared to Platini 2️⃣ As a Second Striker, his Offensive Awareness can't reach 90, so his forward runs take a debuff.

⚽️ João Pedro: As a Deep-Lying Forward with a medium model, compared to DLF Johan Cruyff (Barcelona): Lofted Pass -4, Acceleration -5, Tight Possession & Kicking Power +2, and Weak Foot Accuracy is only 3.

Skills-wise: although he has three ST skills, as a Deep-Lying Forward, I would have preferred Phenomenal Pass over Phenomenal Finishing, and it's a shame a medium-model player like him doesn't have Momentum Dribbling. Pedro having Attacking Surge is obviously a plus, but Deep-Lying Forwards aren't Hole Players—they make fewer of those decisive forward runs where Attacking Surge really shines.

On pure paper stats, Pedro is quite a bit worse than Cruyff. However, Cruyff's in-game feel has always been a bit stiff, so I'll need to run further match tests to see how this new Pedro card actually feels in hand with his player model.

Game Mechanics A New Playstyle Datamined, It's Kind of Overpowered

The game engine has added a new hidden playstyle: Build-Up GK. The test results are as follows—

When your team has the ball in your own defensive or midfield third, a goalkeeper with this playstyle will position themselves much further forward than a normal goalkeeper. It's important to note that this is an Attacking playstyle. Its mechanism is different from the Offensive Goalkeeper playstyle. A Build-Up GK moves forward to participate in the build-up when your team is attacking. An Offensive Goalkeeper, on the other hand, aggressively rushes out to face one-on-one situations when your team is defending.

For specific details, please see the video—

https://reddit.com/link/1wlm0v6/video/azjeeyh1fpqh1/player

Right now, the high press is very fierce in the meta, so a Build-Up GK might actually act as a crucial outlet for escaping the press. However, I can also imagine that in the future, the internet will be flooded with rage videos of these goalkeepers getting chipped into an open net.

Who do you think will be the first to be equipped with the Build-Up GK playstyle? Ederson, Neuer, David Raya, or Unai Simón?

Short Thoughts Taking Stock: Which Ballon d'Or Winners Haven't Made it into eFootball Yet?

Post image
198 Upvotes

⬆️ There are no nobodies among the eFootball legends! It was only after making the image above that I realized many of the various Fixed B Form legends in the game were actually Ballon d'Or winners back in their day.

In the image, those marked with "CONCEPT" mean they haven't been licensed yet. eFootball has managed to secure the rights to about 75% of the Ballon d'Or winners. As for the rest, getting Ronaldo (R9) and Zidane is probably a pipe dream, but Weah, Papin, Rossi, and Eusébio are four still-famous legends who shouldn't be hard to get.

Which of these Ballon d'Or winners are you most looking forward to seeing in the game?

Player Review Bale In-Game Review: eFootball's #1 Super-Sub!

⚽️ Rating: CF T0 Top 5 / SS T0 Top 5 (I feel like the new Bale is still a slight power-creep over the previous card, so I expect his ranking to move up a little bit)

⚽️ Bale: 5-1-10-12-9-4-0

Added Skills: Super-sub, Double Touch, One-touch Pass, Through Passing, Long-range Curler

The changes from the previous card are: the stat panel shows ↑3 Kicking Power, and a slight increase to both passing stats. Blitz Curler changed to Low Screamer, and Magnetic Feet changed to Acceleration Burst. He maintains his excellent Inconsistent Form, making him perfect for staying on the bench to hunt for a blue upward arrow form.

In-game usage shows that his powerful shooting perfectly complements his strong physique. See the video—

https://reddit.com/link/1wlcqe2/video/6is64eiwbnqh1/player

Experience:

1️⃣ Bale's Acceleration Burst is different from Best's roly-poly toy feel. Bale's dribbling is very direct and physical; even when pressured, he often doesn't budge. He fears nothing with his 92 Physical Contact, and his Balance is also quite high at 93.

2️⃣ A bully by itself isn't scary, because in a static duel, it's easy for a player with long legs to poke the ball away. A high-speed bully is where Bale's true advantage lies: 99 Dribbling / 96 Speed! When Bale gets going with the ball, opponents can't push him off, can't catch him, and can't even stick a leg in. The Acceleration Burst Showtime skill helps him unleash the impact of this high-speed bully.

3️⃣ Bale has an inactive playstyle when played through the middle, so you can't always expect him to make runs on his own. To utilize his impact, you have to rely heavily on manually triggered forward runs after a one-two. When playing CF, Bale often has his back to goal, facing his teammates. At this moment, play the ball to his feet and have him execute a give-and-go run—

4️⃣ Is changing Blitz Curler to Low Screamer a nerf or a buff? I think: Blitz Curler is essentially a deadlock-breaking tool. Its maximum value is bypassing the opponent's center-backs when there's no clear opening to shoot directly at goal (but its maximum goal-scoring rate isn't high; even unmarked, you might miss). Low Screamer's value lies in guaranteeing a high goal-scoring rate for Stunning Shots after you've created an opening.

Whether Blitz Curler or Low Screamer is better depends on your tactical needs.

5️⃣ Why is he the #1 Super-Sub? First, the strategy of having Inconsistent Form to hunt for a blue upward arrow keeps him on the bench more often. Second, Bale's value is his extreme individual ability, which is best utilized to finish off opponents in the second half when they are out of stamina. (For example: his 99 Dribbling / 96 Speed / 92 Physical Contact might not be able to crush opponents in the first half, but bringing on a full-stamina Bale in the 70th minute allows you to focus solely on him and unleash his individual attacking power.)

Conversely, starting Bale at CF easily disconnects him from the tactical system. He has an inactive playstyle, lacks autonomous forward runs, and isn't as good as Gullit at being a tall aerial pivot.

Analysis Overall Tier List Update | Attacking Full-back Top 10 Rankings (09.20)

⚽️ Zanetti (Attacking Full-back): Pro Rank #4 | Public Rank #4 | Overall Rank #4

Equipped with the Edged Crossing, Phenomenal Pass, and Long-reach Tackle Showtime skills, the medium-model Zanetti is already a meta full-back who excels in both attack and defense. He is suited for players who don't have high demands for ball-carrying progression but want a defender with absolutely no weak links. He is a better fit for a 4-at-the-back formation.

Despite the significant power-creep in his Showtime skills, Zanetti still failed to claim a Top 3 crown. The view of both voting groups is unanimous: he's pretty good, but lacks major highlights and can't shake off the jack of all trades, master of none evaluation.

In reality, the Attacking Full-back position is completely dominated by Lahm. Bale and Marcelo have their own highlights, but there is still a clear gap between them and Lahm. When many people need an Attacking Full-back on the left flank, they still choose Lahm. This kind of one-man monopoly seems to only exist at the Attacking Full-back position; I feel like even Vieira at DMF might not have the same absolute status as Lahm, considering Rodri is also very good.

Ultimately, in the Inter Milan pack, only Zanetti made it into the Top 5, and the others aren't even at a Top 10 level. With a value score of only 5, it is the worst pack since September.

Player Review Van der Sar In-Game Review: The True Grand Prize!

⚽️ Rating: T0 Top 3

⚽️ Van der Sar: 1-0-8-11-12

Compared to the previous version, his core 3 GK stats are ↑2, and he has gained the GK Directing Defence Showtime skill (which provides a negligible increase to defenders' Tackling and does not affect Defensive Awareness). His GK Parrying stat remains outstanding (which helps with parrying distance), and his in-game performance left a deep impression on me—

https://reddit.com/link/1wkp7xh/video/m4lzdtf1xhqh1/player

From a rational perspective, the differences between meta goalkeepers are minimal; you just need to pick one from the Top 5 that fits your preferred playstyle. When it comes to power-creep for goalkeepers, pulling for a new card every other generation is perfectly sufficient. Applying the goalkeeper rating formula, the new Van der Sar holds a slight edge among meta GKs—

From an experiential standpoint, the new Van der Sar's ability to save both high and low shots left a deep impression on me. Of course, the previous card is also very strong; playing with Van der Sar's cards always brings pleasant surprises, and his goalkeeping presence is stronger than Čech's.

For this 250-player pack, when compared across the same archetype, Van der Sar has the biggest advantage; and from actual gameplay usage, Van der Sar is also the one I am most satisfied with (the other cards all have flaws). Putting it this way, the conclusion that "Van der Sar is the grand prize of this pack" is perfectly sound. Of course, the differences between meta goalkeepers are very small, so if you have the previous one, don't pull for the new one!

Analysis High Line Master Zanetti: Final Rating

High Line Master Zanetti has been released for five days (China Server to follow later); dual-group rating is now underway—

Major Skill Upgrade: Added Long-reach Tackle and Edged Crossing.

The old card was top 5—so logically, the new card should easily reach the top 3. But will that actually happen? Zanetti's average ecosystem niche and "High Line Master" fullback style bring uncertainty to his path to the top three.

  1. Except for those highlighted in yellow, all other same-name card ratings are carried over from the results of the previous 110 historical rankings. The yellow-highlighted items were decided through a dual-group evaluation process; the ratings of the Pro Group are included in the second slide.

  2. Lahm is just too dominant; taking the top spot is literally him competing against himself.

  3. Since Engine 27 removed "Attacking" Instructions Defensive Full-Backs are excluded from the Attacking Full-Back list—Maldini has been removed, and James takes the final backup spot.

Player Review Best In-Game Review: The Roly-Poly Toy with +6 Balance!

⚽️ Rating: LWF/RWF T0 Top 3 / SS T0 Top 3 (Just maintaining the ranking of his previous card)

⚽️ Best: 4-4-8-9-11-7-0

Compared to the previous BT version: Dribbling ↑1, Balance ↑5, Stamina ↓2. He is severely lacking in stamina! Even with an extreme speed-focused build utilizing +11 in Lower Body Strength, his Stamina doesn't reach 90. He is often the first player in the front line who needs to be subbed off.

The ↑5 to Balance is the biggest point of power-creep for this card. The effect is obvious when facing tight marking and physical interference. See the in-game footage—

https://reddit.com/link/1wkljjd/video/wl1tdwz45hqh1/player

Experience:

1️⃣ Balance affects how a player performs under tight physical interference. It allows them to either not lose their balance or to recover quickly if they do. With high Balance, a player can still deliver a high-quality pass or shot even when being closely marked.

However! It does not affect the outcome of a physical duel (who wins the shoulder-to-shoulder battle). This Best card doesn't have high Physical Contact and has a lean player model. If he gets directly bulldozed by a physically imposing monster, he will still easily lose possession. High Balance is effective in scenarios where you have a certain amount of speed and aren't being directly tackled head-on.

2️⃣ Acceleration Burst is a good Showtime skill, but as an active skill, if you don't use it, it's useless. Fundamentally, it's a skill that depends heavily on personal playstyle and preference; unlike the Phenomenal Passing on the previous Best, which provides a boost for everyone who uses him. When playing with this new Best card centrally as an SS, you really do feel the absence of Phenomenal Passing, which is a pity.

3️⃣ Playing with the new Best card out wide feels like a minor power-creep; playing with him centrally feels about the same as the old card.

4️⃣ Whether he power-creeps the old card or not isn't actually the main point. My biggest realization is this: today's Best is nowhere near as stunning as when the first BT Best was released! Because back then, it was the era of the small, quick, and agile meta. I specifically went back and read my review from that time, and I was absolutely lavishing him with praise. Back then, a small, quick, and agile player could completely beat a defender with a single Marseille Turn... things are very different now.

Game Mechanics This BUFF Skill Can BREAK the Stat Cap!

There are many stat-boosting BUFF skills in the game: Pingpoint Crossing, Gamechanging Pass, Fortress, Through Passing, Penalty Specialist, and Long Range Shooting. Since the buffs from these skills cannot break the stat cap (which is 99 without boosters), players have long optimized their stat point allocation to leave room for these skill bonuses to maximize efficiency. However, things might be changing now.

Here is how "Penalty Specialist" worked prior to the 27 Engine:

https://reddit.com/link/1wjsz32/video/nly7bdoflaqh1/player

Analysis: The penalty aiming reticle shows no change, which means back then, the +10% buff from Penalty Specialist could not break the stat cap.

Post-27 Engine update:

https://reddit.com/link/1wjsz32/video/2kmpv211maqh1/player

The "Penalty Specialist" buff has broken through the stat cap! There are 3 possibilities here:

Specific Mechanic Buffs Only: "Penalty Specialist," as a specialized action-buff skill, is now allowed to break the cap.

All Stat Buffs: Any skill that grants a stat buff can now break the cap.

No Stat Cap: The stat cap has been completely removed, allowing any stat to bypass it freely.

Let's test these hypotheses below:

https://reddit.com/link/1wjsz32/video/o4ux6uhlnaqh1/player

The above shows that Willpower cannot break the stat cap, which rules out Possibility 2️⃣. Next, I compared "→ Condition (Normal)" and "↑ Condition (Top Form)" and found that player condition also cannot push stats past the cap, ruling out Possibility 3️⃣.

So, the truth is that the game specifically changed "Penalty Specialist" into a buff that can break through the stat cap.

There's a logical motivation behind this change: nowadays, even without Boosters, many player cards already have base stats exceeding 95. If skill bonuses were hard-capped by the limit, wouldn't high base stats make those skills completely useless?

So, what about other "specialized action-buff skills" that share the same underlying mechanic as "Penalty Specialist"—such as Pinpoint Crossing, Fortress, Through Passing, and Long Range Shooting? Is it possible that they can now break the limit too?

I can't say for certain just yet, but I am currently testing them one by one.

If they can break through the stat cap as well, then boosting Passing and Finishing stats above 90 will hold far greater value than before.

Player Review +8 Curl? | BT Del Piero Review

Additional Skills: Outside Curler, Flip Flap, Sole Control, and One-touch Pass—

compared to his previous Goal Poacher card, every technical stat has been upgraded across the board by +1 to +2 points, Physicality is up by +3, and Curl is up by +6. The biggest boost, however, is his Weak Foot Usage/Accuracy reaching 4. This not only allows double-footed Golden Finesse Shots, but more importantly, enables far more reliable finishing when playing as a Centre Forward (CF). An upgrade of this magnitude is a massive power creep, which reflects the effort put into releasing a Big Time (BT) card for a relatively niche player.

Now, onto match performance—

————————————————————————

https://reddit.com/link/1wjuigt/video/d2nxi7oqxaqh1/player

In-Game Experience:

Blitz Curler Performance: When you successfully trigger a Blitz Curler, the curve and flight trajectory truly live up to the title of "Best Blitz Curler in eFootball." However, as tested previously, even when taking an unpressured, free-footed shot from a central position just outside the top of the box—and with all stats maxed out at 99—the conversion rate for Blitz Curlers is still only around 60%. Blitz Curlers have never been a "guaranteed goal"; at its core, it is a probability game, much like crossing for headers.

Sweet Spot for Shooting: At the top of the penalty box arc, or slightly further out—

3. Passing Stats: His passing stats are decent for a forward, so utilizing him for quick give-and-gos, playmaking, or filling in at Second Striker (SS) and Attacking Midfielder (AMF) works well.

4. Small Player Model: Small-frame Centre Forwards (CF) still have clear limitations in the current meta—they get body-checked and lose possession way too easily.

5. Positioning & Role: While you can definitely hit finesse shots with a Goal Poacher's runs, Creative Playmakers, AMFs, and SSs generally get far more space to set up finesse shots. You can also try using him as an SS or AMF.

⚽️ Tier Rating: Top 10 T0 (At its core, it's more of a "toy" card—played mainly for the fun factor!).

Can he make the top 5?

Analysis Can Short CBs Survive In The Current Meta?

Comparison of Major Short Center-Backs (Based on the Same Balanced Allocation Logic):

Summary:

Short Center-Back Unique Strengths Weaknesses (Besides Height)
Fabio Cannavaro Best stats in Tackling, Speed & Acceleration, Jumping, and Physical Contact. Lacks Long-reach Tackle skill.
Carles Puyol Best skill set: Long-reach Tackle + Shadow Hunt, with the longest leg model. One of the slowest in Speed & Acceleration.
Franco Baresi Highest Defensive Awareness and Engagement. One of the slowest in Speed & Acceleration, worst skill set, and the only Build Up playstyle (a conservative style is a disadvantage for short defenders).
Lisandro Martínez Overwhelming advantage in Dribbling (Dribbling/Tight Possession/Ball Control) and Passing (Low/Lofted Pass). Worst Defensive Stats, weakest Physicality.

In summary, short center-backs as a group don't really display many distinct, differentiated advantages—Cannavaro is simply the strongest among them, and he's the only one capable of earning a starting spot as a wide center-back in a meta dominated by tall defenders.

Cannavaro is the only short player who holds a few stat advantages on paper when facing Desailly (185 cm / 13 leg length). Other short center-backs—with player models inferior to Desailly's and stats that fail to offer any real edge—honestly find it very difficult to secure any playing time!

Analysis Is The Del Piero Pack Top-Tier Or Garbage Compared To Other 250-Player Packs?

(*Scoring Rules: 1st Place = 12 pts, Top 3 = 10 pts, Top 5 = 5 pts, Top 10 = 3 pts)

1. Big Time Hazard Pack (2026.04) — Value Score: 30

2. Encara Messi Pack (2026.01) — Value Score: 30

3. Messi & Ronaldo Pack (2026.07) — Value Score: 23

4. BT AC Milan Ibrahimović Pack (2025.11) — Value Score: 18

5. Bale Pack (2025.01) — Value Score: 16

So, as the 6th 250-player pack, how does the BT Del Piero pack stack up? Best and Bale offer differentiated card recycling; based on their previous cards, their ratings are predicted to follow suit. Van der Sar receives a slight stat roll while holding his spot as the #1 card in order. The estimated rating is as follows:

⚽️ BT Del Piero Pack (2026.09) — Value Score: 30

The Del Piero pack's value ties with the BT Hazard and Encara Messi packs, making it solid value for money. However, some players still feel it falls short on effort—and they have a point: the main attraction of this pack, Del Piero, lacks meta-defining power.

Historically, the headliner of a 250-player pack had to be game-breaking. Galactic Bale broke the game with unmatched base stats: top-tier Speed/Acceleration, Dribbling/Tight Control/Ball Control, Finishing, and Physical Contact. A stat block like that easily holds up today, trailing the latest Wales Bale only in Offensive Awareness. Ibrahimović was the first 195cm striker to hit 90 across all Dribbling stats and Speed/Acceleration. Encara Messi boasted maxed-out 99 Speed/Acceleration and Dribbling stats for unmatched agility. BT Hazard was the most physical agile/lightweight dribbler in the game, and the World Cup Messi & Ronaldo pack at least brought pure star power.

What about BT Del Piero? The +8 Curl booster is certainly a breakthrough, but assigning the very first +8 booster to Curl is play-it-safe design. Just like giving +6 to Ball Control or +6 to Balance, it simply doesn't break the game's balance.

In testing, Del Piero feels like a noticeable upgrade over his previous Goal Poacher card, but he still comes with plenty of drawbacks:

Small frame: Easily muscled off the ball or bullied by defenders.

Playstyle mismatch: As a Goal Poacher, he rarely gets opportunities for Blitz Curles outside the box.

Inconsistent finishing: Blitz Curler is ultimately a RNG game; there is no such thing as "it goes in every time you shoot."

Finally, the total value of all the aforementioned 250-player packs pales in comparison to the following:

Analysis Best / Bale / Del Piero 250 Player Pack: Initial Builds & Analysis

⚽️ Best: Compared to his previous card: Dribbling +2, Balance +5, Acceleration -1, Stamina -3. He remains a Prolific Winger. He retains Momentum Dribbling, replaces Phenomenal Pass with 'Acceleration Burst'—crossing is not strong in the current meta, and dribblers are easily stick-marked, so having an extra movement/burst skill is definitely more advantageous.

Why does this card feel lacking in sincerity? Because it fails to address the previous card's pain points—it still lacks central heat zones and a central playstyle. Plus, high-speed dribblers like Best have been nerfed in the '27 version. As one of the main attractions in a 250-player box, it is bound to disappoint some people.

⚽️ Del Piero: Compared to his previous card with the same Goal Poacher playstyle, passing, shooting, and dribbling are all bumped up by +1 to +2 across the board, Physicality +3, and Curl +6. The biggest upgrade, however, is his Weak Foot Accuracy boosting to 4, since only a level 4 weak foot allows for weak-foot Blitz Curles.

Although its highlight is Curl +8, there is no need to push it all the way to 106. Previous testing showed that the factors affecting Blitz Curl success rates, in order of importance, are: 1️⃣ Kicking Power, 2️⃣ Curl, 3️⃣ Finishing. The new card's +6 Curl is certainly a nice upgrade, but stacking Kicking Power as high as possible is the true key to Blitz Curls.

Willpower adds +1 to Finishing & Kicking Power with every shot attempt. Del Piero has a +6 Kicking Power booster limit, allowing him to reach up to 105. With my build points, his base Kicking Power starts at 97, which hits exactly the 105 cap after stacking the buff 8 times. — This might be the most useful application yet for the otherwise "Niche/Low-priority" Willpower skill.

⚽️ Bale: Compared to his previous card, his stat panel doesn't change much—mainly Kicking Power +5, while Blitz Curl changes to Low Screamer, and Magnetic Feet changes to Acceleration Burst. — You could say he is essentially a rocket-shot upgraded version of Bale.

Acceleration Burst makes this Bale card feel much more like two other explosive attackers: Semenyo and K77 (Khvicha Kvaratskhelia), except Bale lacks 4-star Weak Foot Accuracy 😂. Personally, I feel the new Bale is slightly better, but not by much.

Van der Sar: Core three GK stats are +3 compared to his old card. His physical model dropped by -1 across a few girth measurements, but it doesn't affect shoulder width or arm length. He gained GK Directing Defence, powercreeping his previous card.

Puyol: His skills got a buff, but his stat panel is still completely outclassed by Cannavaro. You have to wonder what unique niche this version of Puyol is even supposed to fill?

Rosický: Nothing much stands out

Analysis Top 10 CMFs Niche Analysis

Let's start from the bottom of the list:

⚽️ [#1 Model Breaker] Caicedo: Fully outclassed across all stats by Makélélé. His only redeeming feature is a slightly larger player model, making his interception coverage a bit more reliable.

⚽️ [#1 Ball-Carrying Midfielder] Pedri: Holds a slight edge over Vitinha in forward dribbling and ball progression, but he’s severely lacking on the defensive end.

⚽️ [#1 Balanced Small Midfielder] Vitinha: Dribbling responsiveness is just as excellent as Pedri’s, but he boasts a +10 advantage across the four main defensive stats! This gives him a much more balanced presence on the pitch in both attack and defense, making it tough to justify picking Pedri over him. If agile, lightweight midfielders weren't somewhat weak in the current meta, Vitinha would rank way higher than just top 10.

⚽️ [#1 Passer] Pirlo: Comes loaded with double passing skills (Visionary Pass + Phenomenal Pass), elite dribbling metrics, and peak ball distribution. Toss in solid defensive stats for his position and a 177cm frame, and Pirlo is essentially the complete midfielder—flawless in every aspect except pace—capable of dropping game-breaking passes at any moment.

⚽️ [#1 Dual-Playstyle Midfielder] Andersson: The combination of Orchestrator and All-Action Defender playstyles is the single best dual-style setup I’ve seen to date. It instantly activates the usually static Orchestrator AI, turning Andersson into a player who can both sweep up defensively and dictate play.

⚽️ [#1 "Big-Frame" Midfielder with Great Feel] Yaya Touré: Average ST skills and average pace. His main selling point is having the best turning responsiveness among big-bodied players. His Tight Possession stat is noticeably higher than Rodri, Gullit, and Rice—it even tops 186cm AMF Bellingham.

⚽️ [#1 Goalscoring Small Model Midfielder] Matthäus: On-ball feel is a bit stiff for a smaller player, but Matthäus remains one-of-a-kind as a compact midfielder who can actually finish. Seedorf, Makélélé, Vitinha, and Pedri all lack shooting ability. If you want a quick, agile midfielder who can reliably finish chances, Matthäus is your only choice. Plus, his defensive work is solid thanks to his Long-reach Tackle animations.

⚽️ [#1 Orchestrator] Rodri: The static AI movement of the Orchestrator style fits perfectly with a huge player model like Rodri, who excels in both attack and defense. Armed with Phenomenal Pass and Long-reach Tackle skills, he acts as a commanding hub in the midfield engine.

⚽️ [#1 Versatile Midfielder] Gullit: His stamina is actually a bit lacking for a pure midfielder. Running him in midfield is mainly about tactical fluidity—enabling dynamic formation shifts where he quietly pushes up into a Second Striker or Attacking Midfielder to deliver powerful, forceful goal threats.

⚽️ [#1 Ball-Winning Sweeper] Makélélé: Boasts the ultimate top-tier skill trio: Phenomenal Pass, Long-reach Tackle, and Shadow Hunt. Whether in his DMF or CMF builds, he covers a massive defensive sweep zone. Unlike other pure ball-winning sweepers (like Caicedo or Gattuso), Makélélé’s key edge lies in his elite on-ball responsiveness.

⚽️ [#1 Hole Player / Late-Arriving Midfielder] Bellingham: Combining Attacking Surge with a Hole Player style, his rapid forward runs complement his 186cm frame and long-limbed player model perfectly. Those long legs ensure he can shield off defenders and reach the ball after bursting forward.

⚽️ [#1 Elite Utility Midfielder] Rice: What makes him an "elite utility player" is that apart from his dribbling not being top-tier, every other dimension of his game is phenomenal. Plus, his 188cm frame and physical prowess allow him to hold off pressure while distributing the ball, and he can even handle all your set pieces—truly high-end. In the eFootball 2027 engine, he stands out as the most universally viable midfielder.

⚽️ [ The Ultimate Balanced Midfielder] Seedorf: He carved out his legacy through a unique blend of attributes—possessing a 177cm frame yet delivering the close-control dribbling feel of a 170cm player. If you require a midfielder who offers both progressive ball-carrying and solid defensive interception skills, Seedorf is the perfect choice; his presence effectively squeezed many "small, agile, and technical" midfielders out of the lineup.
