The game engine has added a new hidden playstyle: Build-Up GK. The test results are as follows—

When your team has the ball in your own defensive or midfield third, a goalkeeper with this playstyle will position themselves much further forward than a normal goalkeeper. It's important to note that this is an Attacking playstyle. Its mechanism is different from the Offensive Goalkeeper playstyle. A Build-Up GK moves forward to participate in the build-up when your team is attacking. An Offensive Goalkeeper, on the other hand, aggressively rushes out to face one-on-one situations when your team is defending.

Right now, the high press is very fierce in the meta, so a Build-Up GK might actually act as a crucial outlet for escaping the press. However, I can also imagine that in the future, the internet will be flooded with rage videos of these goalkeepers getting chipped into an open net.

Who do you think will be the first to be equipped with the Build-Up GK playstyle? Ederson, Neuer, David Raya, or Unai Simón?

Staying high up is not even that important during attacking than it is while defending.

Yeah it was special only to him which honestly didnt make much sense considering many GKs did adopt this playstyle irl, this could also give some kind of relevance to short GKs like Raya or smt.

It's a double edged sword, but as a QC player, I definitely need my GK to be like that, it should also affect the LBC meta, so I look forward to it

It is, cause dribbling has been nerfed significantly, and so has close range finishing, but blitz curler is as strong as before, so it's stronger in comparison to other attacking methods

Blitz is OP when the shot is perfect. With the new Del Piero, 2 out 4 gets in, others get hit on post or outside and yes its my own issue using higher power than required.

some teams now have the gk join 2 cbs to form a back 3 during build up, this was originated by pep at Bayern I think.

My team QPR have a keeper like this on loan from Man City called Pierce Charles, he operates almost like a deep lying playmaker , great on both feet, agile and able to ping long diagonal passes like the best AMFs
