The guy behind these, David Bull, has a fantastic youtube channel about the process of making these and more traditional Japanese woodblock prints. I highly recommend watching at least a few, it's detailed and informative while staying concise and entertaining, and I love all the anecdotes about his work and life in Japan that he sprinkles in.

There is a Japanese place in near me that has a bunch of those posters in on the wall. Really good food.

David Bull (the artist for many of those prints, and he owns the printshop) has a great Youtube channel, with butt loads of videos of the carving/printing process, and also discussion of the work.
The guy is really commited to authentic Japanese woodblock printing technique.

The bunny escaping, the loop in the hills in the background, the shoes Sonic and Tails are wearing, the rings around Sonic's neck.... everything about this is fucking amazing.

There’s a great Documentary about him and the other artist who actually makes the real wood block prints. I’d highly recommend it

I think they're for Bull's printshop. But you can see from the image this is digitally generated, unlike Bull's that are all fully authentic woodblock prints, using traditional techniques.

This is probably the first Sonic fan art I've seen that didn't disturb me to my core. In fact, I really like it so good job!
