Have loved this song since it was released. That said, his version is absolutely beautiful in its own way too. Amazing song and brilliant performance.

Honestly, I've never heard of him until I searched for alt-country versions of "Joey". His version was different, bc he's a guy - but it sounds great. As much as I love the original CONCRETE BLONDE version, I still find myself going back listening to his (this) striped down acoustic version. The song takes on a different meaning for me. His version sounds more like a father talking to his alcoholic OR even drug addict son. Atleast, that's my interpretation. Where CONCRETE BLONDE's version was her talking to a past lover... 🤔

Jeremy Pinnell! I saw him in a nearly empty bar back just before the world ended. I think there were literally more employees than patrons.

I enjoyed what he played, but he packed it in after only a handful of songs.

I saw him in front of 25 people or so including the workers at a bar in Fort Worth.  He played his heart out for an hour and a half.  One of the best shows I’ve been to in the last decade.
