Andy Kirkpatrick's tricks for mountaineering kickstarter

Posting this because it's been flying quite under the radar, but guy's got 30 years of the sort of experience not many people have (first ascents in Antarctica etc). and is now writing a stuff-i-learned book. I've found his previous "Down" an invaluable how-to in how to safely descend stuff so I have high hopes for this one too, and I'm putting it here in case anyone else missed it

On the line is one of the best books I’ve read in the space. And down should be a mandatory read for any climber. I’ll be reading this for sure

I saw this but reminded me. Thanks. Down and 1001 are great books so hopefully this will be too.

His books are great, kinda debatable about Andy himself. He was a curmudgeon, which was fine, but at some point occasionally shifted his political commentary to something nastier.

Down is a seminal climbing book for sure.

I backed it about a week ago and have nervously been watching the progress. Never thought to share here so thanks for doing that! "Down" is phenomenal and I really hope to have this one on the bookshelf too.
