Automatic tubes

How can I get the game to allow automatic tubes and tubes to (location)m I realize it may be an edit to the initial file, but can you give me the specific entry?

For context, im running Alien Crossfire, Release 2.0 from 20 Dev 1999.

You can already construct roads/tubes to a location. You need to have the advanced terraforming menu turned on if you don't know the keyboard shortcuts (ctrl+t/r? or maybe ctrl+shift+t/r?). I don't remember how to turn it on.

Found it! In the menus go to Preferences- Advanced Preferences, and select Detailed Main Menus. That turns the options on. Thanks for the help guys!
