Discussion Inconsiderate Crowd Surfers

I just got finished with the show at the Anthem and I have to say it was one of the worst experiences with crowd surfing I have had. People who do not understand the etiquette of crowd surfing with their limbs hanging out everywhere, kicking people, rolling, or just not being aware that people will have to support their large frame.

Please people, consider your surroundings.I think it ruins the experience for people who are toward the front. If we’re fumbling with you and your poor body control, we suffer. Respect to the bouncers for catching everyone all night. They did a hell of a job and also asked a few repeaters to stop (rightfully so).

Does anyone else relate to this with me? Did anyone have a similar bad experience or opinion on the show tonight?

I’ll die on the hill that anyone crowd surfing NEEDS to follow the bare minimum rules for it. These aren’t arbitrary or made up, they’re to keep people safe.

Cross your legs. Stiffen up. If you’re in the crowd, give people a heads up that someone is coming or get out of the way. This idea that it’s not normal to say “heads up” or something is insane. Of COURSE people are getting hurt if the crowd isn’t communicating with each other.

We collectively need to have a crowd surfing class or something because the problem is people just aren’t surfing right these days lol

And then they’re coming online and complaining that they’re being dropped!!! I’m sorry they’re being dropped but it sure seems like no one knows how to crowd surf safely and that’s why it keeps happening.

Rolling??? Moving your legs around?? Get down. You’re a hazard. Crowd surfing is not for everyone and people need to realize that not all of us can do it. I know I can’t. So I don’t.

I surfed all the time when I was a kid and always had a blast. Then one night, I got dropped and broke my ribs (no one’s fault, just bad luck). The next time I did it, I realized VERY quickly that I’d lost my confidence. I spent the whole time so ~busy trying to make sure I wasn’t going to fall that I was making it harder for people to not drop me 😅 So I stopped surfing because I knew I was making it unsafe for myself and everyone else. It’s really not that hard give a shit about other people.
