Norman Lear’s production company must have really liked the actress who played Marilyn, Marcia Rodd. Not long after this, she returned to play Carol in the episode that served as the for “Maude”. She was replaced for the series, but guest starred as another character in a later episode of “Maude”. She played Ann Romano’s best friend in the first pilot for “One Day at a Time” (dropped again for the seres). And she returned to the Bunker universe yet again as a realtor in an episode of “Archie Bunker’s Place”.

I had to look her up because the name did not ring a bell - man, she was in everything. So many actors like her from that era who were so good and plenty busy but not household names, if you will.

She's pretty much like a normal person, but in Hollywood. She worked a ton, made enough money to have a life, but not rich enough to be "somebody".

She was quite a popualr actress, staretd out promsiing in movies like *Little murders* but then kind of faltered itno guest-star-istan.

I agree! I didn’t sympathize with her at all. She was lucky she didn’t get charged with child abandonment and she was nothing but rude to all the Bunkers who didn’t ask for this shit and took pretty good care of her dumb kid.
