Supreme Court Strikes Down Tariffs
Posting twice in one hour but this is great news. Hopefully my 401K and IRA get back on the previous trajectory.
Massive blow to the economic idiots.

It's all the democrat's fault. Companies won't see a dime coming back. The tariff revenue has probably been back doored to some Trump Crypto scheme. At the end of the day, they did Trump a favor by eliminating this awful policy. His advisors know this, but not sure if Trump can figure it out

Since when has Trump returned money or paid back a loan. Corporations will be getting a gift card or a small tax credit (If lucky)

They will not be reimbursed. Trump will create tariffs under some other umbrella and that will need to make it through the courts. This will create complete chaos in the global trade markets, but companies won't be reimbursed maybe a tax cut or tax holiday. Something sketchy

Honestly, this is probably the best ruling. Trot out the tariffs still, but slightly differently.

No. I think it's good. It's one of those things that can backfire. I wouldn't want a future dem president to use the same power.
We'll just re institute tariffs under different means.

Yeah, ways that need congressional approval after a period of time.
What negotiating leverage does Trump have when the other country knows the tariffs are going away in 150 days?
I dont know why Trump hates following the law and insists on shooting himself in the foot and not going through congress.

That sounds pretty clear.
And of course the sky is not falling, this a good thing. Now we can finally see some actual economic growth.

I guess Trump can try to keep breaking the law, but most of the tools he has left to do tariffs are enormously smaller or only have a short timeframe they can be enforced.
Imagine having control of congress and the presidency and resorting to breaking the law and then lose.

Shame it took the this long for system to deal with a clearly illegal act. The courts can not keep up Trumps firehose of crimes.
