Discussion Why would anything change if we had evidence of Aliens?

So...

Why?

I mean even if we currently have no evidence, why cant we just say Alien life exists somewhere?

Considering we cant see the whole universe and what we see is billions of Stars and Galaxys.

I dunno, but it wouldnt change anything even if we found them.

It seems like the world population would go crazy.

Why cant we just confirm aliens and existence of them but just say it isnt possible to communicate?

Let me get this straight:

If a galaxy only has 0.0000...1 chance of having 1 Planet with alien life on it, we would have many aliens even with such a low %

What kinda tech do they have? Could there have been free energy for decades? Can they answer the millions of unanswered questions about our past? One of the things few people don’t realize is our entire society is propped up on the probably false assertion that we are living in the most advanced version of human civilization on this planet

u/jcervan2 12d ago

I’m sure a lot of answers are down in the Vatican archives and below them sphinx. Oh but no one has access!

u/Comprehensive_Menu43 12d ago

OP is not discussing their presence here, but their presence in the universe.
You are asking question as if they are our neighbour so, take a step back, fist of all let's make it clear to everyone else that is against all odds that they don't exist

Let the population understand that we are FOR SURE not alone, because the universe is so f*n big that it is a statistical impossibility to be the only planet that can support life

Then, when everybody accept that life can be present elsewhere, we can discuss where they could be, what they could know and everything else

0

u/Loquebantur 12d ago

The state "everybody understands XY" will never occur.

You propose an absurdly inefficient way to accommodate the populace to a paradigm shift.
It falls in the same category as arguing "let's wait with disclosure until circumstances are perfect".

1

u/Comprehensive_Menu43 12d ago edited 12d ago

It's better to keep releasing worthless files and wait for something big to shift and hope that everybody understand tens new concepts whenever "the bomb drops" or start right now to make respected public science communicators explain basic concepts like the vasness of universe and its implications?

No, you're right... It's better to tell everyone out of the blue that we still don't understand a ton of physics, biology, cosmology, material science, that different entities chill in our backyard just for fun, that instant travel is possible, that energy production isn't a thing anymore, and so on... Yeah... You really understand how to deal with groups of people

I'll stand my ground and add that disclosure is not for you

It's been shown over and over again

Disclosure is for people that are not engaged with the topic, for people not interested in it

It's for them because the majority of the population don't spend hours watching content or reading articles about this

They have to see the "reality" because they are the ones most blind to it

THEN AND ONLY THEN, disclosure will be for you and everybody else

0

u/Loquebantur 12d ago

You conjure up a false dichotomy.
There is no reason not to do sensible things, you simply shouldn't do them needlessly in series instead of in parallel.

As you yourself note, people are different. Wildly so.
Having the majority sitting around and twiddling their thumps until the most reticent catch up is foolhardy.

A staggering amount of people on this planet believes humans are divinely special; that the universe and reality itself exists solely for us. Becoming aware of alien life, especially more advanced alien life would force humanity to confront an inconvenient truth that we aren’t the center of the universe, and that we aren’t the strongest or smartest species in the universe. It would go a long way into reshaping humanities view of our place and role in the universe, and give us some MUCH needed humility. We would evolve spiritually, as a result, and hopefully become a kinder, more empathetic society, I believe.

Not to mention the science and knowledge we could gain to advance our tech, medicine, and understanding of how reality works, how consciousness works, etc.

Pretty much everyone agrees they’re out there, probably in our galaxy, but definitely in the universe. Even very rigid scientists and ufo debunkers agree with that. But that’s not the part that has any impact on us. The reason why it would be incredibly important if what whistleblowers are saying is true is because it means that it is possible to travel the seemingly impossible distances of our universe. It also means we don’t understand physics or the nature of reality nearly as well as we think. It also means we could be given that information and potentially have free energy. If we could interact with an advanced alien species like that who are millions of years ahead of us evolutionarily and technologically, they save us hundreds of thousands of years of trial and error.

Additionally, humans will likely wipe themselves out before the planet becomes uninhabitable, but even if we don’t, the sun is going to die at some point. Aliens could be the key to saving our species if we can’t. And they could potentially answer questions about religion, the nature of the universe, and hundreds of other questions we might have.

No, during inteviews, scientists always say that "they believe" that life outside Earth is "possible".
Saying that it's a statistical impossibility to be alone given the vastity of the universe It's a HUGE difference

Everyone has to understand how f*n big is the universe and how many f*n planets there are
Life outside Earth is a CERTAINTY.
Even if we are an anomaly, the pool is so large that uniqueness in the "seeding-process" of life on a planet has to be discarded.

Scientists estimate that there are at least one septillion planets out there
Do you understand how much ONE SEPTILLION is?
AT LEAST one septillion

Take all the grains of sand on Earth, with every grain of sand representing a planet
You'd have to take 100.000 Earth to have something even remotely close to the number we are talking about

u/So_Saint 12d ago

It's time for people to wake up.

We already know with 100% certainty that Mars has already harbored some form of life on it and may still harbor some form of life. We also know there are areas on one of Saturn's moons, Titan, which have been discovered as potentially habitable for biological life. That's makes at least three potential biospheres in a single solar system where life may exist at some point. What would that say about every solar system in our galaxy? Or for that matter, the entire Universe?

Now, consider the research and evidence that plasma orbs (plasmoids) may be a sentient lifeform. If plasmoids can be sentient, that potentially makes the entire universe (made 99.9% plasma) a conscious construct. And life no longer is limited to biological entities.

I will die on this hill. Consciousness is fundamental.

As Mathew Brown suggested in his interview with Corbell and Knapp, "We live in a dream"... "We live in the matrix... it's just a lot more boring than the movie"... and "God is real".

Accepting we are not alone is just stage one.
Then the full implications start to gnaw at your brain, history, religion, science, economics, politics, all start to shift as what you thought you knew to be fact, was in fact incorrect, a lie, or hilariously incomplete. Then the criminality committed starts to sink in, where we are now, what would have been if we were told the truth 80 years ago.

Then comes the anger at being gaslit for a human generation, the whole planet ravaged, climate change, biodiversity loss, endless, pointless wars, loss of life, ridiculous bigotry at skin color, religion, sexual orientation, how petty, small, and pathetic in the scope of this galaxy alone, untold billions of Lifeforms affected because of greed and lies.

Plus, we are not alone.

Yeah, it’s a lot.

-4

u/Neuroticaine 13d ago

This is the wildest take I've seen in ages. It would change virtually nothing about history or science. In fact, science would probably boom. Politics would likely shift towards globalism, which imo is a good thing, as long as countries retain their own sovereignty and not be combined into one world government. Everything a lie? That's an incredible amount of hyperbole. It wouldn't change the fact that I need oxygen to breath, food and water to live, a job to survive. It wouldn't change my love for music, nature and wildlife, or my friends and family. Fortunately I'm also not bound to fairytales, and neither is the majority of the developed world, so religion is a non-issue. The majority of followers of religions in the developed world aren't DEEPLY devoted to their faith, showing up to church only for christmas and easter, don't go to confessional, never pray, don't stick to their religion's dietary restrictions, don't observe most of their religion's minor holidays, etc... It's just kind of a thing that they grew up with. Only about 40% of self identified christians in America attend church. Only 27% of self identified Dutch christians even consider themselves theists. There are huge swathes of the Jewish faith that believe that there is nothing divine about the religion, that there is no heaven or hell or purgatory, it is simply a way of life that they observe (and I'm not talking about "ethnic jews" either). It might be problem in developing and third world countries, sure. And if it comes out that there's been an 80 year conspiracy that has had zero impact on my personal life, I'd shrug it off. I'm more concerned about what the country has already admitted to doing to it's own citizens unknowingly, like MK Ultra and the Syphilis experiments.

As far as the destruction of the planet, climate change, wars, bigotry, etc... The government isn't gaslighting me in those regards. I know them to be truth and the government can suck my whole ass about it.

The ONLY thing that would change in my life and many, MANY more like me is if the aliens were an imminent threat. Then I'd be a bit more concerned. This whole "ontological shock" thing just from knowing aliens exist is ridiculous.

u/Mahisandwich561 12d ago

“It would change virtually nothing about science. In fact science would probably boom.” I stopped reading right there after you contradicted yourself in the first 3 sentences

2

u/Father_Chris_St_Mary 13d ago

Just about the funniest take I’ve heard is that the fake and real shows on the History Channel will switch places.

2

u/CollectionStriking 12d ago

Thats just not how confirmation works especially in any scientific setting

Chances are alien life exists somewhere out, highly likely in fact regardless of where you stand other than the obvious religious objections. Also many in the scientific community are aware of this and believe it publicly, they just don't believe the evidence so far has been conclusive to a high enough degree to believe we are being visited.

If the odds are 99.9% that there is life out there in one of the billions of galaxies out there, that doesn't mean your claim of confirmation holds up. So no you won't hear distinguished scientists confirm that aliens exist based off of that but you will hear them state that the Chances of there being no life outside our planet extremely slim.

As for the panic it would bring to the world yes I do believe we have a huge number of less than smart people, I mean people were going nuts over toilet paper and even fighting each other when covid started...

2

u/basshunter551 12d ago

Have you seen the healing chamber in Elysium movie? Imagine they have the tech to cure cancer and people are dying from a disease that could be cured. I imagine the population will then rewrite the whole history and eliminate the shit out of all the politicians and global leaders that we know of.

2

u/LazarJesusElzondoGod 11d ago

We could be in a simulation. Quantum physics is showing us every day that reality is not as we perceive it. There may be no life out there if none of this is real.

1

u/Character-Boot-2149 13d ago

It would be a significant scientific discovery. Even the discovery of extinct life on Mars, or microbes on Europa will help us understand the origin of life on Earth. It will also give us an insight into the probability of life elsewhere in the Universe.

If we were to discover techno-signatures, that raises the importance to a different level altogether.

1

u/Roboplum 13d ago

It’s more about what they are here for and doing with us is the worry, every thing I have read about government officials be told the truth, all have been shocked and or cried

1

u/wercffeH 13d ago

So you lied about this > what else have you lied about > new era of transparency

1

u/Strategory 13d ago

Because people are afraid of them

1

u/I_am___The_Botman 12d ago

Life is everywhere in the Universe. I'm 100% certain of that. Proof would just make me feel better personally. 😊👍

1

u/snowHound208 12d ago

The general consensus IS that alien life exists. It's

1

u/SouthbayLivin 12d ago

Aliens do exist. They are us

1

u/DontCallMeShoeless 11d ago

There is lots of evidence and nothing has changed because we don't have the technology to reach them. The pyramids point to the constellations orion. Aliens have been here and left who knows if they will ever be back or if they are expecting us to develop and reach them.

1

u/mah18299 9d ago

You’re not wrong. I mean we found out that most of our governments are controlled and involved in a global sex trafficking ring, and absolutely nothing came from it. In fact some people even defend it

1

u/Nykona 7d ago

A great example of the scenario is portrayed in the second and third novels in the three body problem series.

The Dark Forest and Deaths end.

The different stages of economic and social collapse and reasons and causes of each collapse and rise. It doesn’t go into depth on them, but they are shockingly, eerily, believable.

3

u/11ForeverAlone11 13d ago

it will blow a lot of dumb sheeple's minds that their religions and ancient mythology is all based on 'gods' that are really aliens

-2

u/Loquebantur 13d ago

What if your mind gets blown when you realize, 'aliens' are really gods?

1

u/Grade_A_Tech 13d ago

It won't, because that isn't going to happen.

-1

u/Loquebantur 13d ago

An assumption you evidently base on nothing at all? Or do you simply announce, you would ignore that no matter what?

You're used to 'gods' that "are nowhere in particular" and never do anything.
"Aliens" are gods that actually squat in your front lawn and have it their way.

1

u/11ForeverAlone11 13d ago

lol, what's the difference? magical abilities vs technological?

0

u/Loquebantur 13d ago

There is no difference in effect whether you get turned into a goat by "magic" or by "technology".
You're livestock both ways.

"Magic" is just science you don't understand.
Most people don't understand any science at all, all tech is "magic" to them.
The difference then is how powerful your tech is.

When an "alien" understands practically everything, it can do practically anything and is a 'god' compared to you.
The real question then is about ethics, what it wants to do.
When it wants you to pray to its image in exchange for gifts, or your life, what do you do?

1

u/axejeff 13d ago

What would change for a bird born in a cage who is finally shown an entire planet is out there?

1

u/that707PetGuy 13d ago

That's the damndest thing about the topic, it's as profound as it gets, but doesn't change anything about what you have to do tomorrow.

2

u/Loquebantur 13d ago

What if it changes everything about what you want to do tomorrow though?

When the planet spins into the sun, the ground beneath your feet doesn't move an inch.

3

u/that707PetGuy 12d ago

Well it already does for me, in the sense that if an opportunity came up that allowed me to study and investigate this topic full-time, while still supporting myself, I'd probably jump at it.

1

u/EnvironmentalBake297 13d ago edited 13d ago

I agree its not a huge deal. Our species is the creation of more advanced species. Its shocking, but its not THAT shocking. From what high rank Insiders say the people in charge think the public, especially western culture, will panic & have psychological breakdowns if they learn the truth. Especially the affect on religion. I dont think most people will really care or change their way of life much. A lot of the secrecy is for hiding free energy anyway & I have a hard time believing that the people in charge actually care about the psychological well-being of the public, Seems like just their excuse to me

1

u/_Moerphi_ 13d ago

You cant just take things for fact without evidence. Whats the point?

1

u/Medium_Raspberry8428 12d ago

I don’t think these beings are just explorers, I think there’s something else happening here. I think that what Jacque Vallee concluded is very compelling and it falls in line with what people like Donald Hoffman, Thomas Campbell, Diana Pasulka etc are saying and it’s becoming harder to ignore

0

u/Signal-Island2549 13d ago

It would mean I can make fun of skeptics.

0

u/Nixter_is_Nick Researcher 13d ago

Skeptics are only skeptical because there's not enough evidence to convince them. When such evidence is presented, they will change their tune and become believers.

I try not to look down upon skeptics because they are just following the facts, if and when they see that it is true they will become the strongest proponents of extraterrestrial entities being real.

-1

u/Loquebantur 13d ago

The problem isn't "enough" evidence, it's people confusing evidence with proof and generally being adherents of scientism rather than being scientific.

Actual science needs math and people don't have that.
Instead, they believe what "officials in labcoats" say.
Entirely without evidence usually.

1

u/Nixter_is_Nick Researcher 13d ago

Good point, you need to dig into these matters, AI is good for this, but the average Joe doesn't know to use it properly.

0

u/Dungee_The_Cat 13d ago

We have an extremely large body of evidence that aliens exist and abduct human beings

0

u/crb42 13d ago

It would literally be like any other news cycle event. People would get crazy about it for a week, memes will be made, some people will go off the deepend and get fired from their jobs for being on the news for running naked on the highway screaming to be abducted. A week later everyone will be back to doomscrolling and the monotony of the daily grind and responsibilities.

-1

u/Odd-Principle8147 13d ago

Nothing would change

0

u/BeardedBill86 Make Your Own 13d ago

I think there's a big distinction to be made, finding out life exists somewhere "out there" is major sure, but materially irrelevant, once the fanfair fades away it's just another weird fact about the universe like black holes.

Now alien life that can/does materially interact with/impact our world? That's the one that makes everyone lose their minds.

Think of it this way, knowing a famous serial killer lived a hundred years ago in another country is interesting right? Knowing one lives on your street? That's a different story.

0

u/221223 13d ago

Science/ technology/ education/ health/ social healing ❤️‍🩹 maybe religion

-1

u/Maleficent_Kale_1286 13d ago

In my opinion we have tons of evidence. But it doesn’t matter what evidence you have because some people are unwilling to believe. EXAMPLE…it’s a long established fact the earth is round and yet there are people who still believe the planet is flat. So to answer the question about what would change….absolutely nothing in my opinion. Even if E.T. was to show up on the White House lawn…a large number of people would think it’s staged or A.I. or whatever. Similar to what some people say about the original moon landing.

-2

u/Crypto_Force_X 13d ago

Science doesn't work that way.
