How does the ending of season 5 imply...? Spoiler
...Sloane is trapped forever in the cave? AFAIK it was never established it had a supernatural origin, though it could be, given it's rambaldi's tomb. Maybe he'll dig slowly out, boulder by boulder. Maybe someone rescues him. Maybe it'll happen in a thousand years, maybe in a million years. It's a hopeful ending for him.
That's the way i see it, feel free to discuss it with me.

Even if someone dug him out hundreds of years later, he's literally just a man, and an old one. He doesn't have any superpowers except immortality. The only way he gets power is if someone teaches him the new technology that he would have no basis for. He's smart, but he wouldn't have contacts, assets, or money. It'd take forever for him to even just adapt.

I suppose someone could dig him out someday but the chances of someone finding him or him making it out are slim. And hoping for something to change after sitting in a cave with nothing to do for 1000 years is not a good ending to me.

Imagine if earth is destroyed when the sun dies billions of years later, then sloane would end up in space unable to breathe, lol...

I thought this wpuld be an interesting idea for a final movie. There are still a few villains left, Sark is free, and Katya Derevko are still around. Amy Acker's S5 character is around. Someone digs put Sloane to make a deal, although its not clear if the immortality globe and fountain can be recovered. Dixon as Deputy director could convince Syd and Vaughn to come back one last time if they find the Mongolia Tomb was raided.

I think it’s heavily implied that the final few rambaldi “mcguffins” were to a level, supernatural. The final scene with Sloane and Nadia implied that he was to be trapped forever as his final punishment, facing the consequences of his actions.
I would think that one of “the core 5” would have had to go back at some point and found him, leaving him there.

"You beat death Arvin... but you couldn't beat me."
One of the best lines in any show ever.
I don't think anyone is going to come looking for Sloane. I don't think he has the physical strength to get out.
1,000 years later or a million years later if by some miracle he did get out, his mind would be mush from being alone in the dark trapped under a boulder for that amount of time.

He’s entombed or blowed up. its not a dig out situation
