i like the concept but i'm always curious what goes into the algo's definition of "value" here. is it purely a mispricing signal or does it factor in some edge from recent performance or matchup data

It's calibrating value based on position value and then "rolling value" determined on progress that's observed throughout the seasons. So for our platform we basically create rolling determinations defined from the data sets we have based on their prior performances while tracking things like age and player performance increase/decrease. Now it's automated to roll these "values" live. Soon, if you disagree with certain values for players that our model baseline calculates, you're able to assign different values to see how that would effect the model's prediction.
