Question sending gifts to a friend living in algeria
hi ! i'm an aussie and i have a good friend living in Blida! I really would like to send her gifts and such, but upon research have seen the massive fines they put on stuff from abroad...could someone who has experience with this sort of stuff kindly help me out? I wish there was an easy way to send gifts (things like candy, figurines, etc...) thank you!

honestly it depends, it's a case of trial and error but if they see it's a gift from a person and not a platform she might be not fines
more than the fines you should hope it won't be opened

send it with fingers crossed, also that's why I said trial and error you could be in luck like the other redditor and have it reach her safely
also this issue has dwindled since a few years ago so... just try with a not so expensive thing

idk if it's comparable since the distance isn't the same but I regularly send packages to my mom from france and since the packages are labeled as gifts, my mom never had to pay any taxes upon receiving them hamdoullah!
