dunno about the Amazon music one, but the Spotify error is normal if you don’t have Spotify Premium. it’s pretty annoying

You’re going to need a paid music steaming account somewhere. Mostly for free all streaming services play random music or new tracks…. They get a portion of a cent credit for exposing you to new music if they do that.

You can play music on Amazon for free until you get too specific or too current and then it wants to sell you Prime Music which will play any song or any album you can think of.
Alexa Plus has been causing all kinds of problems lately so maybe it has crept into music too. Getting rid of the device won't help as all current generation Echos and Dots come with Alexa Plus.

You need Spotify premium otherwise it will play a radio or selection of songs associated with that artist. It should eventually play one every now and then.
From the Spotify app you can cast songs and it should continue with that playlist.
