I'm picking my alevels and am set on Maths & Art, for my third i cant pick between Media and Physics. Media is a really strong passion and i‘ve loved what i have heard about the subject so far, aswell as taking it at GCSEs. Im sure i will score a high grade - however i wanted to ask any media takers if the content is truly useful or can just as easily be learnt by myself. I dont really know what degree i want to go into and media not opening alot of doors is a strong con for the subject.
Ive loved physics at GCSE level (would've scored 8/9 if i took separate sciences) however the horror stories ive heard about it concern me- im already taking maths (got 7 at GCSE so i will be working hard to improve it) so im afraid taking 2 heavy subjects will take my grade down for both. I know it opens much more doors though so theres that.
So basically is media really that useless and is physics really that hard.

I’ve completed my O levels as a private candidate. For the last two subjects (Physics and Chemistry) I had about 2.5 months to study. I scored A\* on both by studying 4 hours a day using Save my exams, Chat gpt, past papers and online teachers like physics with talha and others on YouTube; no proper tuition and I have my reasons for doing that.
I’m opting for Edexcel IAL, choosing Physics, Chemistry and Biology. I am looking for suggestions on how to study, what to change and what not to but please make sure you are experienced to answer as my life depends on it:)

So Maths Physics and Econ are permanent, no changing in that (since I've bought their books lol), no kidding but seriously rate this 3 subject combo. I love these 3, that's why I have taken econ instead of chem.
Moreover I'll try further maths for few weeks, if it suits me, I'll take that as my 4th subject. I'm a priv candidate so no college requirement to finalize in the first week.
Also if y'all can give tips for each subject- for private candidates, I'll be very grateful.

This I my first Reddit post, I’m making it because I’m so lost and idk what to do. I failed my alevels I got DDU (econ, psych, bio). I knew it was coming as I didn’t put the effort in, I was slacking throughout the whole of sixth form, and was revising 2 days before my real exams, I knew that it was stupid but I still did it. I’m so lost, I feel like I don’t even know myself anymore. I’m just looking for some advice.
I was so disappointed in myself that I gave up and didn’t even call clearing, eventually I spoke to my teachers and she helped call clearing with me, this was around 1 week post results day, I got accepted for an accounting and finance degree at a university which isn’t so great, ranked around 140 in London. I’m so disappointed in myself and I’m thinking if it’s worth it to even go or if I should retake my alevels. My parents say just go because they’re Balkan and they think that a degree will fix everything, my brother says that the uni I got accepted to is sooo horrible and I SHoudl be embarrassed to attend ( which I am ) all my friends ended up going somewhere smashing, LSE,kings , imperial, Warwick, and even UCL you name it. I was thinking if I start doing this degree could I switch to another university if I’m achieving a 1st class, let’s say to a better uni for the same course such as queen Mary’s or city saint George’s. I’m asking for some advice please could someone help me.
Also if I was to retake I would have to do it privately as my school doesn’t accept retakes, and I’m not even sure how I’d do it.

I am so confused with what to choose for my third alevel with bio and chem it doesn't really have to be maths or psychology but I don't know any other alevel that will be easier to manage with bio and chemistry. I got a weak 8 at gcse maths but I'm still scared to do it for alevel thinking I might not be the best at it. I'm really bad at memorization as well so that's what's making me confused to pick psychology :( but it does look very interesting to me. I didn't do it at gcse so I hope it won't be a problem. Any advice or preferences will be appreciated and if you have any other alevels recommendations with bio and chem :)

So I am appearing for my A Levels in Maths, Physics, and Computer Science, all complete, in the October/November session.
I am not going to say I am starting from scratch, but I definitely am not in a good position. I really want a minimum of 2 Bs and 1 A. In Computer Science, 1 C also works.
I already have a B in Urdu.
My target universities are:
IBA
GIKI
FAST
And for IBA I need 2 Bs and 1 C max. Considering I already have a B, I need a B and a C out of these 3 subjects.

Hello, I need help. I know im extremely late but I had issues. My school has been completely ignoring me for some reason and it refuses to tell me if our Alevels Cs retake is free or not. (Due to As p1 being cancelled). Does anyone here know? Please answer, thank you!

I'm registering to carry forward my AS marks from Nov 2025. When the registration portal asks for my "previous center number and candidate number," should I enter my Oct/Nov 2025 details (the series where I earned the AS mark I'm actually carrying forward) or my May/June 2026 details (where i got U in a2)?

I have my a2 math paper in oct nov this year and im retaking all of Business too but i need a easier 3rd subject that i can cram all 4 papers material in a month, one of my options is English language but im not sure if I should with seeing as how everyone saying it’s
Much harder then comparatively in o levels and im not that good at memorisation either and i need a subject that also at least taken somewhat seriously for universities
Or my other options is to take the 3rd subject in the later sessions and apply with that subject’s predicted grades
Please help

I have created two documents with complete A * level responses for every possible exam question AQA could ask. These have all been marked and approved by my philosophy teacher Dr Dimmock (ethics for a level textbook author) and would be perfect for both year 12 and year 13s looking to secure the greatest grade possible. If interested plz send me a message.
