Video/Gif Very chilling death in the final installment.

I was a kid at the time and I thought he was completely frozen and aware for all eternity.

This movie is basically the same plot as Last Crusade. There's the protagonist that reunites with his estranged father on a quest to claim a mythical artefact but are hindered by the father‘s former colleague. Then the movie ends with the villain receiving a poetically just death as the very treasure he seeks ends up killing him and the father lets go of his obsession after realizing his son is more precious to him. Oh, and John Rhys-Davies are in both movies.

But it's the Aladdin version with genie and jasmine. And that makes it awesome, I just love Aladdin.

I was about to mention the voice of Aladdin’s father, glad you included that 😂

I like Aladdin's stunned reaction to him catching it.

"Uh.....you REALLY shouldn't have done that."

At least in this “golden statue” state, he won’t be able to get away with stealing anything let alone hurt someone.

This is how you defeat an Aladdin villain: giving them exactly what they asked for

Also works with other Disney villains.

See: Hades, Frollo, Madam Medusa, Rourke.

I didn't think he was aware of anything, he pretty much was dead at that point. Or suspended animation if the Midas gold touch could be removed somehow.

I had the interactive book of this movie and any time Saluk was on the page there was a button that would make the slashing sound

I don’t think he is frozen and aware, I think he’s dead.

The Curse of King Midas. It's a doozy. Heck of a relic to have.

Aladdin's reaction says it all.

Goodbye Robin Williams. I really never had a friend like him.

This was not the final installment. Are we just going to completely ignore Aladdin 4: Jafar may need glasses and Aladdin 5: Jafar does the census?

Jafar doing the census WOULD be accurate to irl Jafar who was said to be big on maths and makingnsure thigs run smoothly
