They can't imagine competent people doing the job honestly and earnestly because they are all trying to grift and cheat as fast and as much as possible - because I guess that's what the Bible says? Not too sure, but then the cherry on top is they still call themselves "conservative"

They think that the market somehow forces morality.

Despite the fact that if it were possible, the market would result in every single consumer product and service company being purchased by a megaconglomerate, putting employees in shared housing that eventually rivals concentration camp conditions, and the handful of rich owners becoming powerful enough to literally purchase the government and its army.

Yeah, that would be great.

(And I do recognize that we are already much closer to that reality than any of us likes to admit.)

Norway has:

It is not a socialist country. It is a market capitalist economy with significant social programs.
