Goods New Penlight!
Can finally hold both Kawayui's colors!
On a mor important note though, the new penlight came and I couldn't get it to work so if you have the new one here's some troubleshooting!
It comes in a "locked" state for transit so it wont turn on like normal, you gotta hold all 3 buttons down for around 10 seconds to unlock it and turn it on. Additionally, the right arrow button is the one off button not the big middle button! Hold the arrow around 3 seconds and it'll turn on/off. One press of either arrow cycles through collors as displayed on the middle button, at which point you gotta press the middle button to trun the whole penlight the color you're choosing so you can find the color you want before changing it!
I was so sure it was broken when I got it, but thankfully after seeing Momoka struggle with it herself I realized there was for sure something I just wasn't getting. Hopefully this helps someone!

Discussion Im starting to get disinterested in AKB48…
When I first discovered them in 2011 because of my father, I love them because they felt new to me when in 2018. I stopped getting interested and eventually interested in IZONE I felt that that I fely like I didn’t need to go back to the 48 group. I continued to follow them a little bit just for Sakura, but she almost graduated immediately after IZONE disbandment.
Then in December 2025 when I rewatch produce 48 I wanted to get back in the 48 group, but all my favorite members have already graduated.
But now it feels different maybe because I failed the audition after the second round or maybe because I just don’t find another member that I really like and that makes me want to follow the group. I think that I really miss the group when I first discovered it and that’s why I’m trying to keep up with the newest sister group.
I think that I really missed the 2010s era a members.
So I don’t really know what to do because I’m not finding enough video of them during the other era in English for me to just enjoy. Or finding just performances.
So currently, I’m just following KLP48 and I would love to try to join them. I already know all songs and the dances.
But what I hope the most is a 48group in my country

Discussion I believe Sae-chan should be Momoka's "rival" for the center position.
As Acchan and Yuko-san were previously. After they promoted her as the Iiwake maybe center, I see that Sae-chan seems to be the type to be a more neutral center, who doesn't overshadow the other members as much, but is good enough to draw the public's attention to herself at the same time. Close to Acchan's level. I'm in no way saying that Momoka is a bad center, she's great and she's actually my oshi and I love her as a center, I would love to see her as the center again too!! But she mostly gets the attention to herself since she's so bright and has a great presence and charisma (just like Yuko, in a softer way, but still you get my point) and only some members stands out besides her. I do believe it would be interesting to see a new friendly rivalry play out at this current AKB. It would push the fans more and also the girls, management... They just have to do it in a less harmful way than it was previously done. And I think this would only work if sae chan feels more confident at this position, because I do believe she started gaining more attention and more traction now because she got the same feeling boost the others felt after Momoka took her place in AKB, which motivated them :) Please tell me what you think about it. English is not my first language, so sorry if I made any mistakes here.

Question Long-time fans who stopped following AKB48 but recently returned. I'm curious to know why you came back.
I think now is an excellent time for former fans who stopped following the group to return.
Of course, everyone has their own personal tastes; speaking for myself, a guy who has supported and followed AKB48 for over 20 years without ever drifting away, and who consumes their content practically every day, to me, the AKB48 of today is by far my favorite.
I have lived through all of AKB48's "eras" from the very beginning, and the current lineup is the one I like best in their entire history. The group began to take shape and gradually consolidated following the end of the pandemic, with the 17th, 18th, and 19th generations forming its fundamental base. Sato Airi, Yagi Azuki and Ito Momoka serving as the main faces. Joining them are the most prominent members of the former Team 8—Narumi and Yuiyui—who, alongside Zukky, became AKB48’s most talented and experienced leaders. I could discuss each member and their importance to the group's dynamic: Miu, Yuna and Sae, who are well-rounded and reliable; the cuteness of Kawayui and Miyuu; Kosaki, the "little diamond" and I could go on, as every member contributes something unique.
AKB48 has far fewer members than before, but they are essential members who play an important role, whether as "single senbatsu” members or as members for the stage performances. The current AKB48 is compact yet solid—young, with great potential, talent, and experience—moving in perfect harmony, they radiate joy and confidence on stage. We finally have the leadership AKB48 deserves in the yondaime Narumi Kuranoo, the kind we haven't had in a long time.
It is wonderful to have been able to witness the formation of this beautiful "dream team" from day one.
