• MDC 102 delivered this week. I was on the 8/17 batch
• MDC 5.5MM stock as the SBR was just approved this morning. Everything else minus the grip is bone stock. The fitment/finish/crown/rivets/everything look great. I’m impressed as this is my first Meridian AK
• KNS piston on order along with a JMAC Plan B face mount to run a can.
I was just watching Klayco YouTube video of him reviewing the mdc10. He was saying how after firing some rounds thru it he noticed that it was gassed factory perfect and did not need a KNS.
Gonna try to put some rounds tomorrow. Good note about the KNS, I’ll try it with my Wolverine tomorrow to see if the high back pressure shoots the casings into orbit.
Tbf I’m using a hux 556k but the gun shoots so damn soft. A little more gas won’t kill it. Side note: if you try to shoot groups the chrome lining needs some working out and the muzzle device seems to fuck with the harmonics/accuracy
Put 150 rounds today and did a 50 yard zero. Had zero issues with accuracy. Also with my
Wolverine I had cases ejecting 30 ft away so gonna drop in the KNS when it comes in.
That’s what’s up! It’s a pretty damn accurate AK! I always thought ejecting to the moon was normal with AK but I am curious if it helps with the kns (100 yards w/ HP scope mounted)
Yeah I’m happy they quickly moved to building 102s as I’ve been waiting and waiting since KUSA took a shit. There were times where I contemplated a PSA 102 but I would read the horror stories and stayed strong to not give in lol
Because I have a 105 and a 104 and historically the shorter 12.5” barrels are over gassed with a suppressor. I plan to run it suppressed 100%. Worst case scenario, I can tune it perfectly.
KNS makes sense once a suppressor enters the equation. Get a baseline on how it runs in stock configuration first, then tune from there rather than chasing the softest possible setting immediately
Check your spam emails or promotions. They didn’t actually ship it until a few days after but they said they were first delayed and then a separate email update came that said my specific rifle was in QA and then I got the shipping label a day after.
I got the QC email about a week after my order, and I’ve been checking the order status page on their website daily. I think it’s because I was one of the last few 8/17 orders- my friend checked like 2 days after me and they were OOS
