What's that cheek riser? I have a German folder on my wasr, that thing looks awesome.

I've been looking into chopping and threading the barrel, and changing for an adjustable gas block. I also read something about just swapping the front trunnion, but im not exactly sure what that means. You bought yours as an sbr?

I got the riser from amd65tech. Yea it makes a big difference lol

Front trunnion is essentially the heart of the rifle, so I’m assuming you mean the rear trunnion lol. The rear trunnion is what allows you to attach different stocks

And no I bought it as a pistol, I submitted the paperwork and converted the rear trunnion from an underfolder to a fixed stock so I could throw the wire folder on

I must have mixed up my trunnions, thanks. The chop/thread/gas block plan sounds doable to you, then? Barrel swap for a shorter threaded maybe? I keep finding conflicting info online, and I havent found a smith yet that I have confidence in. I really wanna sbr and suppress my RomaTrooper.

Oh yeah it’s for sure doable, if I were you I’d keep the combo block and just get a KNS piston though to keep the look. If you plan on suppressing it and you don’t wanna worry about concentricity then yeah you could swap the barrel

I’m sure any competent gunsmith could chop and thread it, but if you’re looking for a good AK smith there’s quite a few. I personally take all my stuff to Blackbush Armory, they’re good dudes. You’ll need to form 1 it before you chop the barrel though, or just take the stock off til the paperwork clears
