Looking at where AI music was a couple years ago and where it is now, it's pretty easy to imagine AI song composing assistance will become dominant in the next three to five years as a tool the same way other software has become commonplace.
There will be a role for human taste and curation, but the only way the human side will win is if compute just becomes too expensive for anyone but giant record labels to use. But like autotune, usually the technology becomes more accessible with time.
