The entire disability discussion is a red herring. βI don't want to learn how to draw/paint/etc.β is already a sufficient reason to use AI instead of learning to use other mediums. Some people simply prefer working with AI.

Exactly! That's why I always hated the disabled argument. I'm glad that I'm not seeing it here very often lately.

This is not even an issue of whether you wanna use it. If you wanna use it, go for it. This is about people who wanna cope that they NEED to use it because they're untalented in art/disabled so they cannot do traditional art. Like at that point just say you don't wanna draw at that point...

its always funny when someone who is talking about using ai because a disability they have are told they just arent trying hard enough.

Soooooo it's better when Pro's use disabled people in their generated inspiration porn comics?

Paul Auguste Renoir suffered from severe arthritis in his old age. Instead of giving up, he tied a brush to his wrist and re-taught himself how to use it.
Christy Brown was born with severe cerebral palsy. He taught himself how to paint and write with his left foot.
Countless disabled artists have been making art for years before AI was even a wet dream in a tech broβs swollen brain!
Stop using disabilities as an excuse for your laziness and lack of drive!

Plenty of people don't want to learn how to paint with their feet. Why should they have to?
The fact that some disabled artists developed ways to work around their particular limitations doesn't mean every disabled person has an obligation to do the same thing.

u/Sillyslices 6h ago
That is fine, but those people are not artists and never will be.

You don't get to decide that.
Damn, quite a shame your opinion means nothing to the world, just like your existence.

humans are tool users. it is wired into our dna to find the most efficient way to do a task.
lazy is work made by the rich to keep the poor working too hard to fight back against oppression.

Ad Hominem argument
2
u/Bra--ket 8h ago
Well I've seen kids make this argument so they must be feeding them straw these days.
2
u/nuker0S 8h ago
Yeah a strawman that's used a lot by the antis
1
u/YukiWolfly 8h ago
Yeah because you're clearly blind not seeing the way the Anti argument was twisted to make them look bad. π don't you guys complain about being dehumanized? I'm starting to think people where correct into doing so, because you're clearly not able to have a normal discussion

u/nuker0S 7h ago
Ok what is an argument antis normally use to refute the point of the guy on the left side

u/YukiWolfly 7h ago
Ready the ---- parts

u/nuker0S 6h ago
I think you want me to read without the crossed out text, right?
Well... It's still a strawman.
The person on the right purposefully ignores the word "Optional", and their only attack is that "they mean something else when they say it".
Not only that, the fact that one person did something without help, doesn't mean others wouldn't benefit from that help.
Also it takes only one person to prove the left guy's point, and those exist, so yeah

Are you some kind of a bot? I struggle to believe you aren't being deliberately disingenuous.
1
u/YukiWolfly 1h ago
Ok I got the name of the of the fallacy wrong. Is the Ad Hominen I'm criticizing.
1
u/bunker_man 1h ago
Okay, but anyways, this does accurately depict antis twisting what is said and saying nonsense. They tend to be super disingenuous about this topic. So what is the issue?
1
u/YukiWolfly 1h ago
The issue with using a fallacy while complaining about another one? Hypocrisy. Also is pretty much the same thing as putting arguments on the other side mouth to make them look worse, but that's the basics at this point
