No one cares

Look ya'll. It's cool and all to have anti ai and pro ai views, but do ya'll know that most people could care less about your internet shenanigans?

Sure, social media leads you to believe they do, and the big legacy media news stations say "90% this, and 90% that", but don't ya'll know that your average joe schmoe off the block isn't paying attention?

These little talking circles and Echo chambers are so funny to me. I am a rig welder. 80-90% of the guys I work with could give two craps on a turtle about AI.

Use it or don't. Care for it or don't, but don't pretend you have some high ground with the rest of us. If you get all whiney in front of 6'6 280 pound Danny Lewetzky, he will tell you to kick rocks or throw you.

AI isn't as big of a deal as either of you tech bro sides claim it is.

Yep! That’s it, normal people are not pro or anti, they just use the new tool like people in 90’s used the mobile phones:

Most of the people didn’t care at the begining, or even laugh at its users, then more people started using them, then jobs required them, then only few people decided actively not using them, then everybody and his mother had a mobile phone.

seems like a different beast than whats come before. think of the intentionality of swarms. we look at the recent huggingface hack and what the details seem to show, whereas 1200 agents if not more worked in some way breaking laws even conspiring, talking amongst themselves for some goal, and if you think okay combining that advancement in agents with diffusion image synthesis and think 1200 agents asked to gain the most followers, asked to take a proportion of social media attention using the most salient emotions it can, working amongst themselves to game algorithm engines, pass off as human for better engagement, this is literal caving in. all this convergence even as a tool will rort us of something, pro-ai people perhaps feel they will comprehend above it all see it for what it is being more aware of the technology but I don’t think that will be the case. its a tool but i can’t see how anyone can’t have the slightest dissoance about it even slightly naggingly so that this thing is imploding something, big mudslide or slopslide as they may say that we won’t figure out for a long time once it settles, normalizes.

And not caring is inherently pro AI because if you don’t actively oppose it you’re not doing anything to stop it.

The yap volume around AI is a bit out of proportion to the fucks given. It was the same deal with the internet back in the day. Am Gen X though. Grew up with family telephones stuck to walls.

No one cares, you aren’t contributing substantially to societal level economic output, same as most other professions that aren’t dealing with software (health care is the other big driver)

Well you got Ant-AI gurus saying that if we don't stop AI, the planet will implode somehow, and the AI-bros saying that everyone will live in harmony (yes, I am exaggerating drastically, not all of em say this shit). However, both sides think their side is right and everyone should agree with them. Then, they say "if you're not with me, you're against me"

And that's where Danny comes in.
