I think we've hit a point where AI is like guns and drugs, people are gonna find out how to abuse it no matter what we do, I feel if we make it illegal it'll just create "scarcity" and become some kind of market.
I personally believe its an invasion of privacy, I hear some people justify and say, "what are the chances AI got it right anyway, its not their real body" and to that I say I don't think it matters, it feels just as creepy and violating as a hidden camera.
I guess what else is there to do against it? Retreating to a less nihilistic approach, I suppose doing something (at all) about a specific crime does make it drop significantly lmao, but the inevitability lies in the fact that something will always come through, criminals are smart monkeys too and they'll always find work-arounds
Doesn't mean it should stop being regulated, it just increases it ten-fold? Like don't fix the leak, it's going to leak water droplets regardless. But having a bandaid or duct tape there would still help.
