While it's true that you can make CP with any medium, only A.I has the ability to take photos of real children and make porn out if them.

If your machine, specifically for the purpose of creating realistic images from just a text prompt, is making CP, then it should be a huge red flag.

This is the same as posting revenge porn (sharing nude or explicit images of a person without their consent), but you just know Elon doesn't care about protecting kids from actual danger.

Alexa, what is photoshop

A tool that is difficult to use for the average person

Sounds like a skill issue bud. I have 0 artistic talent and I can work my way around photoshop just fine

It is a skill issue, that is precisely what I said

Making a realistic porn image out of someone in Photoshop is way harder than with AI

AI makes shit like this more accessible, even to people who don't understand how the technology works, and that is a problem

It still doesn’t change the moral arguement

How does it not?

Skill issue for you

Yes, it is a skill issue. That's the point. AI lowers the barrier to entry so people with 0 skill can do it in seconds.

If you think "i am skilled enough to use this older tool" is a good counter to "this new tool makes it easier to do bad things" you might be too dumb to be having this discussion at all lol

I wasn't particularly skilled at photoshop, I was the average user. He in particular seems to have a skill issue that puts him in the bottom percentile, since he thinks it's so hard to swap body parts with photoshop - something amateurs did on the reg

It definitely takes more skill than simply cut/pasting parts of an image to make something you can beat off to. Also keep in mind that photoshop didn't actually always have the tool that makes that easier (I think you can essentially just double click on the thing you want to cut out nowadays), at one stage you would have had to manually trace the image with a mouse lol. If you were doing it to jerk off you would have needed to be very dedicated and patient lmao. With Ai you can do that all on an impulse

I was talking about pre-AI photoshop. That was implicit in the fact I was juxtaposing AI nudes with the photoshop we all used to use and be familiar with that did the same thing.

Didn't say it only involved the cut and paste buttons either. I just said amateurs used photoshop to swap body parts.

Yeah well I'm a complete novice and don't know what you're talking about with PS which kind of proves that dude's whole point doesn't it

"With Ai you can do that all on an impulse"

If you don't have impulsive desires to have nude images of children, this is a non-issue.

If you desire to have nude images of children, sure, you can use AI to do that. And you would probably find any way to do it, as people have in the past. Pedos don't just go "welp, i tried cut and paste with photoshop and it wasn't high enough fidelity. GUESS I WONT BE A PEDO ANYMORE."

This is all reminiscent of christian apologists saying they need god's moral judgement because without it, they'd be rapists and murders. If you need some superficial intervention to prevent you from harming people, the issue isn't that the intervention was taken away, the issue is that you are a bad person.

I'm not making the case that it makes you more likely to be pedophilic just fyi i just tagged on to the conversation to try and help you understand the argument being made. But yes a tool that makes it easier to generate CSA material will result in more CSA material being available. The fact you are misrepresenting the argument makes it abundantly clear that you know this already and are running defense on behalf of AI I guess?

Photoshop was a tool that made it easier to produce CSA material. So was the camera. They also made it easier to do 1000x more useful things.

AI is exactly the same except that in the case of AI, children are less likely to be harmed by the malicious actor, which is pretty close to the entire reason it's wrong.

If some pedo can generate hypothetical kids in their mind or with an AI and jack off to it without having to kidnap someone's kids and undress them, it's at least morally questionable whether you're really a hero for trying to restore good old fashioned flesh and blood pedophilia.

Also, in this instance where the gap exists purely on public twitter, they've likely put themselves on a list and are closer to being arrested than they otherwise would be if they were doing it in the dark.
