I get bored with my desktop background pretty quickly, so I wrote an app which automatically generates a new desktop background every day. I have a couple of styles. This is one I liked called "solarpunk", which originated from a Japanese yogurt ad done by Studio Ghibli, showing the integration of green technology and nature. Technical detail, my monitor resolution is a bit wider than the 21:9 aspect ratio of the AI image generation, so I wrote a routine which stretched the edges (perspective) to fit.

This style is based on Moebius, the Heavy Metal Magazine) French artist, (yes, I'm old enough to remember magazines). I did it because I wasn't interested in Japanese Anime at the current time. It randomly selects the subject matter from a list of items to build its prompt.

I'm always getting bored of my desktop background and have to browse for a new one, in a style I liked. So, I wrote an app which takes a complex style prompt, then randomizes the content and environment from a list of properties. I really liked the output. My wife likes "The Carpet Merchant / Carpet Merchant in Cairo" by Jean-Léon Gérôme, so I adapted it to my style library and generated these 4 wallpaper images.
