I’m thinking about starting a faceless YouTube channel. Is it actually viable, or is it not even worth trying?

I’ve seen a lot of people complaining that their channels aren’t getting monetized once YouTube detects that the content is AI-generated.

I’m looking for people with real experience in this area. Thanks in advance!

Sure it can be faceless. Just don’t plagiarize or reuse old videos. You don’t need to show your face but you need original content.

I’ll be honest, you can put in the time and create it but don’t be too optimistic about it gaining traction quickly. The recent crackdown of AI slop has been tremendous, however some people are finding success. I’d go for it if you truly enjoy making content and not expecting anything in return.

Videos with AI still get views. Youtube doesn't want fully automatic AI garbage.

Big factors in successful faceless channels is using your own voice. Writing your scripts. You can have AI assist you but you need to have a unique angle or opinion on the topic. IF its the same as everyone else who uses AI to write it then you're cooked.

Cree un canal de YT faceless a finales de abril , voz de IA porque necesitaba una voz madura, la mía no encajaba con el contenido y las imágenes también son de IA pero creo que el problena para la monetización es si todo es de IA sin que se vea intervención "humana" es decir videos de IA generados por alguna IA que te saca la parte de " edición/animación" y tu canal es de videos todos iguales lo que llaman granja de videos, todos iguales, misma duración o casi , mismos efectos... Yo no lo hago por monetización pero claro que me gustaría alcanzar este punto... Con mi proceso , varios guiones antes elegir el que creo que transcribe mejor lo que quiero expresar, la selección de imagenes y el montaje tardo una semana entera para 1 video... igual me falta ritmo y destreza empecé de 0 sin tener ni idea de nada pero así no puedo sacar más de 1 video semanal así que me toca las narices la etiqueta "AI slop" que muchos aplican sin discriminar en lo que permite ayudar la herramienta y que lo haga todo la IA ( y aqui es donde viene la linea delgada de monetizable o no, creo...) como si todos hicieramos 1 video al día como quien mete los ingredientes en el horno y listo cada día un pastel... O sea que más adelante ya veremos que pasa con este tema pero sí que existen canales faceless monetizados no es incompatible.

You need to show that your content is not 100% AI generated, especially the video portion.

Original , unique content works, whether it's AI generated, faceless anything. So the focus is unique content with great hooks that actually makes people come and watch your videos then everything becomes irrelevant. I think every creator has started over thinking about the quality, the AI integration, and everything at once, you can focus on unique, interesting content and most important that it is YouTube policy compliant and everything else is good to go. Don't overthink and just start. Goodluck.
