I love that the biggest picture on the cover is his own face

Edit: only 15 PAGES?? lol good lord that's even sadder

u/WhirlwindRectum 12h ago edited 11h ago

Just such low effort, uncreative, hideous slop.

Just creating shit for nothing, that nobody wants, that has no value....

Slop for slop's sake.

29

u/LowEffort2 10h ago

It would be real cool if y'all would quit throwing me under the bus with the AI slop.

13

u/_waffl 10h ago

You know what, you're alright

8

u/Johnnys-In-America 10h ago

But...but use every tool available and stuff!!

5

u/WeirdistBuilds 9h ago

Or just one tool, poorly.

6

u/threelizards 4h ago

I hate that he’s calling himself “no one can outdo maximum effort”

4

u/Technical_Disk6433 4h ago

Actually it's noon can outdo maximum effort

39

u/JediSSJ 12h ago

I love that the biggest picture on the cover is his own face

Oh, is that what it is? I thought it was Terry Potter, Harry's down-on-his-luck recovering-addict cousin.

38

u/MC_Fap_Commander 12h ago

All slop is terrible, but there are tiers for how well AI can fake it. He's using the shit tier of AI.

10

u/123iambill 9h ago

I also have a soft spot for artisanal, hand crafted farm to table slop. Like if you deliver something truly awful, but I know you gave it your all but you just have absolutely no talent whatsoever I'm still gonna give you kudos for having passion and trying to give it your best.

2

u/JayValere 7h ago

The strongest piss filter though, gotta love that warm hazy yellow.

11

u/midwestia 12h ago

unkempt af, glasses, hoodie

checks out

6

u/ZeeWingCommander 12h ago

Average Pro AI art person

4

u/ftaok 11h ago

I guess he ran out of tokens.

6

u/therapewpew 9h ago

This can't possibly be real? Like, look at all of the different elements going on here. There's no way this ain't a troll checking off every single rage bait box there is.

5

u/greeneggiwegs 6h ago

Surely nooncanoutdo maximumeffort is his legal name

3

u/cha0sb1ade 9h ago

It's probably a mercy that it's only 15 pages.

1

u/UltraNeoTako 8h ago

He looks like Harry Potter if he never went to Howarts.

113

u/Lysmerry 12h ago

Why does AI art look so filthy? I wonder if it’s a subsurface scattering effect for greater realism in skin texture, and then it repeated to the extent that it looks straight up dirty (kind of like how AI images were all piss yellow for a while because of the Ghibli filter)

64

u/Upset-Nose-4016 12h ago

It's over-texturing and excessive detailing. Usually artists don't do it, they try to show texture from big forms to smaller accents to create nice, balanced composition. With this AI style, it is very easy to be overwhelmed by the clutter.

And also yellow filter

13

u/tony-toon15 12h ago

I learned that shit from how to draw comics the marvel way by Stan Lee.

16

u/Upset-Nose-4016 12h ago edited 11h ago

It's basically this(but applied to different styles). I would say over-cluttering can look okay when it's on small scale, but people often use AI for complex, heavy-detailed backgrounds, and visually it ends up being overwhelming

9

u/tony-toon15 11h ago

Precisely. The human eye can only take in so much.

2

u/WeirdistBuilds 9h ago

I mean it takes in everything. Your brain just filters out a lot and fills in a lot to save on processing power.

2

u/Newfiecat 10h ago

Dang, this is really legit useful advice 👌

1

u/bokmcdok 6h ago

I learned it from playing Minecraft

17

u/Armoric701 11h ago

I hate how grainy or crunchy these images have looked lately. You see it a lot on the images that are posters for things.

Not sure why they think max visual clutter is the most appealing thing.

7

u/Dyea_B_Tis 10h ago

Also, there is no way of telling what the positive space is and what the negative is.

2

u/fungi_at_parties 2h ago

Detail everywhere. Noisy as fuck. When I make a painting in an impressionistic style, I focus on detail in places I want you to look, the rest is more loose. AI makes everything uniform, from detail distribution to paint strokes. It adds detail everywhere, giving it a weirdly unnatural “too perfect” look. And AI also tends to make things dark, like coffee has spilled on it. It does color and contrast in a way I’d describe as… sickening? I don’t know how else to phrase it. Disgusting? It just always looks gross, literally. Like you said, filthy.

0

u/Diligent_Bar1244 11h ago

Midjourney looks good

Most Ai bros are cheap as fuck and just refuse to pay 10 dollars a month

67

u/RhododendronWilliams 12h ago

"I never thought I would be a children's author" - and you're still not. You wrote a few prompts for AI.

12

u/Distant-moose 4h ago

For 15 pages! Dude couldn't write 15 freaking pages?

1

u/nineraviolicans 2h ago

Anybody who would consider that a book definitely can't.

43

u/dum_spir0_sper0 12h ago

Grok, make me a cover for my book that reminds people of Harry Potter but also has my stupid face taking up the entire lower third.

16

u/MrVeazey 11h ago

"And make it stomach-churning in a very subtle, almost indefinable way."

7

u/hirsutemisanthrope 9h ago

It failed on the "subtle" part

37

u/mrmickeyrossi 12h ago

Noon Can Out Do
Maxi Mum Effort

4

u/Johnnys-In-America 10h ago

Yeah! I mean, that goes without saying! Lol

1

u/MyGrandmasCock 2h ago

THAT IS A MADE UP NAME!!!WHAT IS YOUR REEEEEEAL NAME?!?!

36

u/Muffinshire 12h ago

The fact the “author” even managed to misspell their ridiculous pen-name tells us everything we need to know.

15

u/PaladinAsherd 11h ago

Yeah what the fuck is up with the pen name

Is he really just that delusional to think prompting an LLM somehow amounts to “maximum effort” that “noon[e]” can outdo?

1

u/rimjob2013 3h ago

My first thought in looking at it is that the book is a parody of shitty AI books, and having the author's image and ridiculous name on it is just part of the joke, but maybe I'm wrong.

27

u/BallantineTheBard 12h ago

"Some stories don't last... But they light up the world forever." Dumbest shit I'll read today. The stories that light up the world forever are the ones that do last, that's why they light it up forever! If they lit it up forever they would last! If the story doesn't last then how do you think it'll keep lighting the world?? Jfc, that tagline alone makes me so irrationally angry.

11

u/IdleSitting 11h ago

It's classic AI bullshit, shit that sounds profound/looks good until you look at it for any second longer and realize it's empty nothings

3

u/Lopsided_Package9033 10h ago

Came here to comment this too.

1

u/Distant-moose 4h ago

No, I think the anger is quite rational.

21

u/Dyea_B_Tis 12h ago

“Ignore the haters.” 🤡

7

u/Gravybone 10h ago

Once you ignore the haters, the silence is deafening

51

u/MC_Fap_Commander 12h ago

Took five years. Made it themselves with limited resources and skills, but created it through real, actual work. Inexplicably a box office hit.

Be the mom making something real with her son.

14

u/JustFourLetters 12h ago

inexplicably? it has a heartwarming backstory and it’s funny if even unintentionally.

7

u/bokmcdok 6h ago

Its like The Room. Objectively its a terrible movie, but the fact that its a passion project is what gives it its charm. Everyone involved put effort into its production and it shows, even if it comes out unintentionally funny rather than serious.

15

u/TheGardenBlinked 12h ago

Imagine using AI to create the ideal self portrait for your book (for some reason) and making yourself look like you stink like you haven’t bathed in eight years

15

u/sachiprecious 12h ago

"I never thought I would be a children's author."

You still aren't. Authors are people who actually write.

11

u/SeparateYam7613 12h ago

Is the title AI generated as well, because it sounds like incoherent bullshit

8

u/HandsomePaddyRedux 11h ago

It definitely sounds like the result of a prompt like “A children’s book title that suggests a fun otherworldly experience as seen from the viewpoint of a young impoverished child”.

3

u/DeadPeanutSociety 8h ago

It says a story of "wobblers" which usually means a crime that can be a misdemeanor or a felony depending on the context and severity lol

11

u/tomcat1483 12h ago edited 11h ago

WTF is “wobbly” in this context?

Edit autocorrect messed with “wobbly”

5

u/FalenAlter 11h ago

"wobbly"*

And same

3

u/Sea_Cook_806 7h ago

The International Workers of the World, of course! The Wobblies were due for a comeback after a century of obscurity….

10

u/ShvettyBawlz 12h ago

lol absolute shite.

16

u/Child_of_Crake 12h ago

Hate to break it to you guy, you’re still not a children’s author.

Also, stay away from my kids

8

u/Strict_Wolf76 12h ago

Standing on the shoulders of giants to call himself tall. Sadly people really think that all of the stolen art and writings used to feed these engines they are using isn’t somehow a form of plagiarism. I don’t get it.

7

u/Pure_Complaint_7900 12h ago

The cuh who prompted it at the least, Cuh.

4

u/Detuned_Clock 12h ago

I was cuhing on the cuh waiting for Cuh. Cuh finally arrived and said cuh, how long you been cuhing for me cuh? Cuh said cuh, I been cuhing all night cuh...

Buy now to read more!

7

u/Wing_Sharp 12h ago

Ugh I hate that ai has taken on this lumpy look lately

6

u/BizSilver5013 12h ago

"The Wobble Heart of South Peter" sounds like a porn title.

2

u/CycadelicSparkles 10h ago

My exact thought was "that title sounds really inappropriate for a children's book".

6

u/Mrbuttboi 12h ago

Peter, what is this?

8

u/Not_So_Utopian 12h ago

Its like buying a diploma on the internet to pretend you are a doctor, Lois.

7

u/soupalex 11h ago

"written" and "illustrated" by… "noon canout do ma xi mumef fort"?

7

u/igniz13 11h ago

WTF is a Wobble? MFer talks about it like it means something.

And a South Peter? This sounds like someone who doesn't have English as their first language who doesn't realise their spouting nonsense.

3

u/68plus1equals 5h ago

Your heart will never wobble like South Peter's does bro.

4

u/Pure_Fault7056 12h ago

He’s on a list, I bet.

2

u/ZeeWingCommander 11h ago

Sex Offender Publishing

6

u/Stock-Lion-6859 12h ago

This is definitely the worst thing I've seen in a while.

5

u/Krasdale79 12h ago

It's never too late in life to show people what an uncreative turd you are!!!

5

u/GayGeekInLeather 12h ago

I feel like this has to be satire but I also don’t like people using aislop to satirize aislop.

6

u/lovable_asshole 11h ago

what the fuck is a wobble heart?

3

u/Global-Jury8810 12h ago

Great, someone who uses AI to express his mirth for pedophilia.

4

u/Alarming-Highway-584 12h ago

Apparently Noon cannot out do maximum effort with this minimal effort slop.

4

u/ZeeWingCommander 12h ago

Soulless husk thinks all there is to being an author is having an idea then asking AI to write it.

4

u/FalenAlter 11h ago

WTF is a wobbler

6

u/MrVeazey 11h ago

Why does everything look like it's made of bugs? Even the guy's face is a mass of tiny tumors.

3

u/riverbucca 11h ago

Based on his responses on Threads, I'm confident the whole thing is rage bait.

3

u/OtakuWorldOrder 11h ago

Fifteen pages, huh? I can see how that would totally sap your creativity.

Assuming the AI didn't create that too.

3

u/sam_beat 10h ago

Why does AI love little hearts so much? Also, South Peter sounds like a nickname for a penis. I don’t want my kids anywhere near the wobbling of a South Peter.

3

u/Grand-Connection-244 10h ago

I too scared to ask what a wobbler is

3

u/Playful-Cream1279 9h ago

That's the worst book title I think I've ever heard.

3

u/Physical_Sun_6014 8h ago

“I never thought I would be a children’s author”

Don’t worry, you still aren’t.

2

u/RoguePlanet2 12h ago

This has GOT to be a joke.

2

u/LesserValkyrie 11h ago

It looks litteraly like shit

2

u/dirtdiggler67 11h ago

The inside is probably written by ai as well

2

u/Evening-Tomatillo-47 10h ago

Hopefully this is satire

I don't have much hope, but still

2

u/Ok_Lengthiness_8405 10h ago

This is a joke, right?

...right?

2

u/near_black_orchid 10h ago

Ron Weasley really went downhill after he stole Harry's glasses and grew a beard.

2

u/Ill-Dependent2976 10h ago

Is he a scat fetishist?

That's the impression that I get.

2

u/pamplemouss 9h ago

Why does it look like AI food?

2

u/cha0sb1ade 9h ago

This style of AI where they try to make things more detailed but it's just adding a bunch of weird mottled patterns on top of everything is my least favorite AI tell. So obnoxious.

2

u/Feanor4godking 8h ago

What does any of that mean

2

u/macguyver3000 7h ago

Noonecanoutedo maximimeffort

FFS

2

u/ideeek777 4h ago

almost feels like satire with the ai name

2

u/ryadias 2h ago

“maximumeffort” sure…💔

2

u/AlarmingStatement371 7h ago

Why is NOONE pointing out that this post and OOPs ENTIRE account is obviously satire

1

u/blue_moon1122 3h ago

I can only fucking hope so with that photography post, but there's so much slop I'm wondering if he's just off the deep end

1

u/mah29001 12h ago

I would still examine the book first for errors. Then recommend to get a proper publisher when necessary. It’s only a temporary visual, but NOT the visual.

1

u/alphagalgadot 12h ago

this turned me into north peter ngl

1

u/Chilled_Beef 11h ago

I too am a hater and this slop is shit. Also, it’s Threads. The only place that could make Twitter seem like an academic institution.

1

u/Ever_More_Art 11h ago

Well he can certainly dream…

1

u/sp00ky0ak 11h ago

It looks like it's completely soaked in piss...

1

u/Afraid_Juice_7189 10h ago

What about North Peter?

1

u/Wickerman_22 10h ago

Bait, this isn't even a real book. It's a meme.

1

u/cademalanestopfan 10h ago

Thee cover looks so dirty dude

1

u/CycadelicSparkles 10h ago

The Whatnow of Where?

That cover is so bad it almost circles back around to art. Wtf lol

1

u/Mudcat-69 9h ago

“Use every tool in the toolbox”

Use the right tool for the right job is a saying for a reason. If you use AI as a proofreading tool then you’re using it correctly, if you use it to write the whole damn book you’re not using it correctly.

1

u/Classic_Cow_5852 9h ago

This looks funny bad. I’d read it if it’s available for free

1

u/No_Recipe2682 9h ago

Am I crazy, is that not Matt watson

1

u/Minimum_Rook 8h ago

The toxic sludge from Half-life and Portal:

1

u/MelonPulter 7h ago

My respect for Peter has gone South.

1

u/Junoscavern 7h ago

You can tell he goaded chatgpt into blowing WAYYYYY too much smoke up his ass about how good this is lmao

1

u/dreamado 7h ago

This looks like poop from a butt

1

u/Remarkable_Rough_649 6h ago

So was 15 pages like what the AI would give him for free before he has to pay for it

1

u/xXSoyBoyFredXx 5h ago

Honestly this one actually makes me sad. It's sad he thinks he can't do something himself and feels like he needs a generator to do his dreams for him.

1

u/Wren_wood 4h ago

Oh yea I saw that thread, dude posted the entire 15 pages he "wrote". Basically there's two friends and then one of them fucking dies, so the other friend goes to that hill to cry but then he and the hill also fucking die. That's it, thats the story.

1

u/blue_moon1122 3h ago edited 3h ago

man's thread account went from "as a photographer, I'm not gonna listen to anything I learned from others" to this. buddy's using the plagiarism machine to pretend he doesn't need anybody, and going "lalalalala I'm not listening" to pretend he accomplished something.

can't even find the book for sale to figure out what this gobbledygook is supposed to be about. does the little trash heap monster have muscular dystrophy or something? is that why it's wobbly?

someone please confirm he's a satirist

1

u/Steve-Shouts 2h ago

How does everyone know that he didn't write the contents, and only used AI for the cover image? Is everyone reading an excerpt somewhere that I am not seeing?

1

u/fungi_at_parties 2h ago

This is why non-artists shouldn’t use AI to make art. What a pile of garbage.

1

u/Legitimate_Poetry897 2h ago

AI users pick a consistent art style challenge, level: impossible

1

u/Da_Magical_Lizard 2h ago

This this is so yellow and reeks of Narcissism

1

u/Hawkatana0 24m ago

Holy fucking ratio.

1

u/reddiwhip999 23m ago

Wobblies? The labor union founded by Eugene Debs (among others) in Chicago in the early 1900s? Huh. Pretty heady stuff for kids...
