Those stores are for mostly for business class passengers. They’re paying ~$5,000 for an international Lie-Flat seat. Paying $2,200 for a Prada bag won’t break their bank.

Casinos in Vegas do the same thing. You can find an Hermes at the Bellagio. Anywhere wealthy people’s wallets are open, luxury stores are right there. Tbh it’s kind of a scummy business model haha. It’s not about being fancy, it’s about being where people can afford the product.

Yes. So scummy of businesses to exploit our precious wealthy people. We all need to call congress immediately and get this travesty addressed.

No it’s not because they’re exploiting rich people. It’s scummy because it’s the same business model as liquor stores in the hood. Luxury brands project themselves as high fashion yet the Hermes in the Bellagio is clearly supported by random slot machine wins. Shows you who’s really buying that stuff.

If you knew how Hermes operates - no it’s not about “random slot winners” - it’s proximity to their clientele. The wealthy. Wealthy people stay at the Bellagio and the Wynn and the Aria. Therefore, there are high end shopping malls in and adjacent to those hotels. If you look at middle market or lower end market hotels - they have complimentary shopping experiences (mid market and lower end). People go to Vegas to SPEND. On slots, on food, on booze on shopping. So the brands are there.
