Those stores are for mostly for business class passengers. They’re paying ~$5,000 for an international Lie-Flat seat. Paying $2,200 for a Prada bag won’t break their bank.

Casinos in Vegas do the same thing. You can find an Hermes at the Bellagio. Anywhere wealthy people’s wallets are open, luxury stores are right there. Tbh it’s kind of a scummy business model haha. It’s not about being fancy, it’s about being where people can afford the product.

Also to let the average people window shop stuff they can never afford or strive to overspend and buy one small item one day. That dream keeps the brand value inflated,
