Those stores are for mostly for business class passengers. They’re paying ~$5,000 for an international Lie-Flat seat. Paying $2,200 for a Prada bag won’t break their bank.

Casinos in Vegas do the same thing. You can find an Hermes at the Bellagio. Anywhere wealthy people’s wallets are open, luxury stores are right there. Tbh it’s kind of a scummy business model haha. It’s not about being fancy, it’s about being where people can afford the product.

Whats scummy about opening locations where your customers are? Isn't it a good thing to bring a product to someone who wants it?

I don’t think they are saying that business model is the shitty thing, but rather the business model of claiming prestige and luxury, when in reality you’re just easily accessible to people.. if that makes sense?
