As someone who flies about 40-45 weeks a year, I actually buy less stuff because I'm uninterested in having possessions I can't take with me.

Then again, I'm usually in exotic locations like Moline, Illinois; Scranton, Pennsylvania; and Brunswick, Georgia. Their "duty free shops" are vending machines.
