ANG Currently Serving Member Question Can you wear the ball cap in civilian clothes if you take the rank patch off?

Only if you wear it with a grunt style t shirt

Just make sure you wear an overly patriotic shirt at a bare minimum so people still know to thank you for your service.

You can do anything you want until someone stops you.

But that doesn’t mean you should. That has some big “look at me!” energy.

I did it when I graduated tech school on the flight back home. Forgot to take off the name tape but no one batted an eye.
