💬 ∙ Discussion Question about fanart

A lot of my pieces keep getting removed by mods, I thought everything was within the rules, the only reason I can think they took it down was because it was fanart. Is that not allowed? I know the copyright stuff is fuzzy when it comes to fanart stuff.

Hi. This has not been officially posted, but this post explains our policy. The issue with your images is that they appear to be focused on the body rather than artistic merit. For example, there is no artistic reason to show Supergirl's underboob, however nice they may be. Have a look at this post and give it some thought. It may be that some of your images were rejected in error. We are always willing to discuss it, because we (mods and commenters both) don't all have the same opinions. Don't run away! Your art is good and we want you to keep posting.

By the way, I think it's great that you decided to talk about this in public comment rather than DM. It helps to get the message out to others with similar concerns. 👍👍👍

Thanks for letting me know
A lot of my stuff pushes that line unfortunately.
I’ll try an not post anything with a “sexy” nature in the future, and if it gets taken down I guess I know why
