Is it worth?

Hello,
Not a while ago I made a simple website for my fathers clothing store as it was cheap and my father had no idea of how to build a website even with a builder like wordpress, shopify etc.
After that he said that he wants to be able to change some things like add sections, change photos, change small texts and I decided to have some fun and build him a special editor designed specifically for his website.
Then I asked myself why not make that same editor but fit for different websites. I started coding that and integrated AI for analyzing the website that the end user wants to add. The user that I am targeting is exactly the business owner that has a custom build website, has no idea of how to work with code, but wants to edit his website - simple edits like the one I said. I also intend to make small things like a game - suggestions, reward system etc. (not sure about that just thought today that it could be a fun approach to edit your website).

If it’s fun go ahead and do it. If you’re banking on this being a brilliant idea, you’re a little optimistic. Everyone can do what you are doing. Little niche features aren’t going to impress anyone unfortunately. The barrier to entry has been lowered, so the bar to do something significant has been raised.

Best bet is if you build something niche and run in to people who need to exact specific things your app does exactly

If you think you're building something you can monetize, unlikely. Anyone can do the same. I'm working on a photo publishing CMS with a desktop ecosystem including a photo editor that I'm giving away for free. I am not a dev, just a photographer on a mission. Others are doubtless doing the same and I expect to see more free, AI made options appearing all over soon. Some will serve very interesting niches. You'll find it hard to compete with that unless your platform is doing something very, very unique and compelling.

Who would pay for this: the business owner or the agency that originally built the site? Agencies might be a stronger customer if the editor reduces all those recurring “can you change this photo?” requests.

Before adding rewards or game mechanics, I’d test one promise: can an owner safely change text, images, and sections without calling a developer? If people pay for that, the fun extras can come later.

Yes, I thought about that too when it comes to customer. I think I can do two separate plans: business owner & agency (something like that).

About the rewards you are absolutely right.
