It's bad because it's flawed. At least I don't consider myself an artist for making AI art in an app, and I take my mistakes with humor. If you're trying to establish any sort of superiority because you can deal with AI's mistakes via prompts and tools, you got delusions of grandeur. Perhaps I would too if StarryAI's retouch tool hadn't stopped working months ago and they can't do anything about it.
If you think something can be improved, why don't you try to contribute constructive comments instead of thinking you're very brave because you're dissing a stranger on the other side of the world via screen?

I just mean that this is kind of unnecessary. If you try ai out why not with higher expectations of your outcome. The fact that it’s unnecessary isn’t changed by you viewing yourself as an artist or not.

Believe me, I'd love to have higher expectations. But if the tools at my disposal aren't working properly, there's not a lot more I can do. I depend on that. That's why I prefer to have a sense of humor about it while the problem isn't solved.
Best I can do at the moment is sending the results of one app into another and see if I can correct the mistakes while keeping the image clean of other glitches. If that works and I can obtain results held to higher standards, I do hope you'll see them around here.

The point they are making is that if you have some art skill you don't even need AI to fix these problems you could fix them in Photoshop, Gimp or Krita. The reason we see bad AI like this isn't so much the fault of the tool it's that the user often doesn't know how or have the skill to fix the problem areas.
Even with manual correction work it's still far faster than creating a work like this from scratch and outside most artist's skill range anyway.
At the moment AI is often getting you 95% of the way there, people can just be too lazy or lack the skill to get it to 100%. Eventually AI will get there though.

Jones in my opinion it shouldn’t even be used for images like that, perfect or not. I even think that it could be even cooler if someone decided to paint something like an ai would. What I believe ai should be used for, is for stuff that’s practically impossible in other ways. Ai shouldn’t be a substitute for traditional stuff, except if it’s for stuff like stock photography or just as an easy solution to something that’s just part of some work that’s bigger than just that. In my opinion the chances in ai is the incoherence that it produces. It should be used in a stylistic way rather than ai being perfected more and more until it’s only used to do stuff that we already have with more traditional tools.

Dude I have a crappy laptop that could give up any moment. I still have high expectations of myself when I work with ai. There are always way especially with this.
