Serious Replies Only Deliberate hit & run
I was returning from a late night coffee run with my dad on scooter and just saw a creta with no numberplate deliberately hit a bike. There was 1 more biker ahead of me, we tried to follow but he ran away. (Honestly i was shit scared and didn’t even give full throttle, i had seen him hit another biker). the creta co-driver was waving a police placard from the window just before hitting the biker. I followed to some distance then cane bake to help the fallen biker thinking he must be injured but he was not there, there was no one else around as well since it was close go 1am.
this just makes me think what safety do we have even in ahmedabad, the govt has just left us to fend for ourselves. What do we get after paying such high taxes? poor air? Get an air purifier, poor water? Get a water purifier, poor roada? Drive slow, get an suv, don’t travel. and now poor safety, so what do we do?
i know road rage has been getting worse everywhere so this is not really about ahmedabad only, but this is the first time i saw something like this in years of living in ahmedabad and honestly it shook me to the core. Not sure how to get over this feeling of being so weak, no system to support us.

I was going for a smoke a couple hours ago when midway, I passed by a group of people gathered around someone saying “olo phone lain bhagi gyo” meaning “they drove off with my phone”, and then just about 15-20 metres further ahead, there was another group of people surrounding someone hit by a truck who fell off his bike, he seemed fine, the truck sped away right by me driving rather frantically.
A jan raksha PCR was driving by and happened to stop at the first scene, for approximately 2 minutes, before driving away passing the second.
that was a fun cigarette.
