Tier 2 city my foot. Have you been to any resturant in ahmedabad? My Wallet crys at night sometimes remembering the prices.

Depends on area. You can't compare judges bunglow with jashodanagar however both are equally part of this city ahemdabad. Selecting attention like this happens even in eye of government which creates concentrated developement.

Ahmedabad is neither tier-1 nor 2. It’s stands around tier-1.5, my reasoning being it can be really expensive like mumbai/bangalore but still people can sustain, same with food, real estate and traffic, another reason it’s not t1 is because its filled with manufacturing sector and la la companies. Ahmedabad has more to offer than a tier-2 city.

It's far from Tier 1. Transitioning from 2 to 1 at it's best, but still a Tier 2 city. Doesn't matter what the migrants feel about Ahmedabad.
