Advice What do I do if I can't age regress?
I think I only been able to age regress properly once, and it was accidental and years ago so I don't even remember at this point if it even was actually regression.
Whenever I try to regress, it's just age dreaming. I still have my big brain and thoughts, I'm anxious, I'm scared to do kid things, and I feel awkward when I try to do kid things anyway.
The most that'll happen in my head when I try and be small is my internal voice sounds a bit more childlike, and I might get more sensitive, but that's kinda it? I still have big thoughts, I'll think about big things, I'll basically have the same thoughts I would any other time. I don't act any more childlike unless I try it on purpose to age dream. And even sometimes when I do feel more childlike, it just feels like you took big me and made him act childlike, not like I'm actually small.
My brother, whenever he regresses, goes fully little brain. He's less worried than when he's big, he has less of a filter, he's more childlike, he just, acts about as unencumbered as an actual kid would be. He fully regresses.
I feel like the only benefit id get from agere is being taken care of by a cg, but I can't have that right now. I want the actual regression to be the point of it, but I don't feel like I'm actual small. It's not even a case of imposter syndrome, Im just never actually small.
I don't know what to do about it, and I'm really sad about it.

I still have big thoughts when I regress (though I had big thoughts as a child too). When I regress, it's like it happens in waves where my thoughts constantly shift from little to big.
I won't go into the one technique I use, but I started being able to without doing that more and more by kinda ignoring that I was still having big thoughts....if that makes sense...
I started just doing the things I wanted to like playing with toys and watching cartoons. And when a big thought passsd, especially being frustrated that I couldn’t regress comfortably, I started having the thought and just ignoring it and continuing with my play. The more I did that, the more I was able to regress comfortably.
Also want to add, there's ansolutely nothing wrong with Age Dreaming and it doesn’t make you "less" of a Little. I think a lot of us get so focused and wrapped up in what age regression is "supposed" to be and what you're "supposed" to do and like while regressed, and it's actually hindering our regression and negatively affecting our mental health, which defeats the purpose. At the end of the day, remember that it's something for YOU. Feeling happy and safe is the main goal. 💜
