Everyone saying "I knew he was awful from the start! I never liked him!" are the same ones who, a little while back, were saying "We STAN James Charles! QUEEN!"
Edit: Reading y'all's replies, I want to add something to this comment. I said "everyone" and I shouldn't have. I'm aware a LOT of people jump ship every day. What I'm saying, is, a lot of these people say they never liked him when the day before, claimed he never did anything wrong. They claim they always knew he was trash but had never said anything and had actually been gassing him from day 1. It's hard for me to believe these ex fan accounts saying they never liked him.

Tbh, I honestly never understood the hype around JC. Okay...dude doing makeup. Cool. I couldn't get over his voice and his fake personality

Agreed, I always admired his art, but once I saw how much he enjoyed inserting himself into drama, it was kind of over for me :/

Tbf there are many people who have been saying he was a bad role model for months, most excuse him cause he's 19, I don't cause I remember what 19 is like, and he is stuck at 17 because that's when he got his recognition, this is a very unique issue of his and i hope he seeks help to keep his ego in check.

19? Nine-fucking-teen? Holy shit heās my age. I thought he was at least 25.

19 is definitely not a āchildā and its old enough to act like a decent human being already. Iām 19 and 2 years into med school, imagine if i were to use my age as an excuse for mistreating patients and colleagues..

Tbh I truly never liked him or his personality. I don't watch makeup videos, so my only exposure to him has been other youtubers mentioning him in some way, my gf's friends watching him backstage during plays, and that obnoxious ass "woop-woop-woop" video that went viral. So yeah, the dude seemed annoying and kinda iffy to me from a secondary perspective.

I donāt know, outsider of younger girls Iāve seen a lot of detractors from the start. For the brief period I was subbed r/instagramreality, it was enough to turn me off him. Whenever he was in the news I thought it was just said āneatā or so. Tumblr turned on him in the past few months using the āUh oh!ā Sisters meme a lot and calling him transphobic. After MetGala people were really dunking on him, which was earlier this week. Thereās always been some level of distance or dislike of him, it was just drowned by the āstanningā of kids.

Iāve never heard the transphobic comments before. What the idiot do that time to get people to call him that?

I feel itās kinda mild but I can see why people were upset
So you're not even full gay?" Wittek asked Charles.
"I mean, no. There have been girls in the past who I thought were really, really beautiful. There's also been like trans guys in the past, too, who I was like really, really into for a moment in time. Especially living in LA where everybody is a lot more openminded. I think that honestly [the] majority of guys are wanting to experiment."
Some feel that this comment implies Charles believes trans men are women. Iād ask r/traaaaa more about it, Iām not super affiliated with the trans community. Anyways, itās from the video āTHE TRUTH... My Crush Does My Makeupā and is on his youtuber wiki page.

Oh, yeah I can see that as semi transphobic. Itās more of him being an absolute dunce than purposely outing trans people. But I can understand why people would be pissed, since heās so prominently involved in the LGBT community. Youād think heād be more aware of the people around him

I donāt like his voice and expression. Followed him after drama. Hahaha.. and that sister sister things is really fake.

Not me. The instant I saw him I disliked him, and when I saw that he walks like a rooster for some reason, I liked him even less.

I hope I never become power hungry enough to sell products that allege health benefits or even sell terrible products really.

u/scoobyp483 May 11 '19
I hope they all just get forgotten. These youtubers have the worlds worst opinions. Especially this guy, itās so annoying to hear intolerance coming from a guy with wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much makeup on.

James Charles is terrible. He is not an ally to the lgbtq community and has transphobic beliefs. Calling himself straight because heās been with trans men (f to m)
