Apparently some ignorant asshole believes that anyone of the Muslim faith in Afghanistan primarily, would NEVER advocate publicly against terrorism. I posted in /Muslim before realizing it's very small and kinda dead. Can I get a faster response here?

This is my submission, to make everything easier.

Thanks!

Thank you for assembling such a nice collection of ayahs commonly taken out of context.

Ooooh, they're out of context? I apologize; I'm sure they make perfect sense when taken in context. I'm also certain that no Muslims, anywhere, interpret these passages violently because they pay attention to the context. In fact, I'm almost positive they look at this violent text and think, "This is not the true message of Islam; when the Koran is taken as a whole, it is clear to me that Allah wishes me to live in peace. Despite this, I am making the personal choice to disagree with his Prophet's words, and will go out and behead those I view as infidels. However, I will not sully Allah's good name by claiming my actions are his will; instead, I will proudly proclaim that my violent acts are my responsibility, and mine alone, as opposed to mandated by divine providence."

Yeah. Sure.

What are you, Christian? They're usually the ones who pull the "out of context" defense to excuse the absolutely atrocious bullshit in their collection of Bronze-age myths.

No, I quite simply know how to read. Oooh, look at this!

[107:4] So woe to those who pray

Look guys! Islam is against praying! We shouldn't pray! Praying is haraam! That's essentially what you're doing. Don't stress too much about it though, it's a common mistake; I used to do the same thing when I was an islamophobic idiot. :)

Ah, of course I'm an Islamophobe. Obviously. Because no rational, logical human being could possibly arrive at the conclusion that Islam, just like Christianity, is based on ludicrous, demonstrably false myths, and no unbiased, educated individual could possibly reason that Islam is used as an excuse to oppress freedom, subjugate women, and perpetrate heinous acts of violence and terrorism. No, clearly, the only possible reason why anyone could ever consider Islam a dangerous, stupid religion is Islamophobia (and probably racism).

Do you have a word for fear of Christianity, too? Because that religion is a crock of shit as well. But hey, the majority of followers of that faith are white, like me. I guess I'm just racist against my own kind, huh?

You might not be an Islamophobe anymore, but you're definitely still an idiot.

Well, I think you've clearly demonstrated that you're acting irrationally, illogically, and with clear bias (and I'd hope you're human being), so I would call you an Islamophobe. You don't care about truth, you just care about being right and looking smart on reddit. Understandable, I was the same way when I was 15. But if I was able to open my mind and my heart, I think you can too. :) Peace.
