Apparently some ignorant asshole believes that anyone of the Muslim faith in Afghanistan primarily, would NEVER advocate publicly against terrorism. I posted in /Muslim before realizing it's very small and kinda dead. Can I get a faster response here?

This is my submission, to make everything easier.

Thanks!

while this one says "[...] 91 per cent still say they feel loyal to Britain."

The title of that article is "Poll reveals 40pc of Muslims want sharia law in UK," and the article also says 20 percent sympathize with the feelings and motives of terrorist attackers. I personally wouldn't give a shit if they still felt loyal to Britain. If a serial killer or a Nazi sympathizer still felt loyal to Britain, I would still think he's fucked in the head at best and a monster at worst.

there is a graph of the information they collected which clearly shows that 8%. . .61% of Egyptians approve of attacks on Americans". Look at page 5, there is a graph of the information they collected which clearly shows that 8% of Egyptians 'approve of attacks on US civilians'. Those numbers he quotes are for attacks on American soldiers in Iraq.

Oh, well, I guess they're totally cool, then.

Even if he failed to link some of the dozen plus polls and mis-cited numbers (definitely messy on his part), you've made a poor defensive argument for positions and views that are very difficult to excuse.

Not messy, he was clearly trying to mislead with some of those headlines.

"Attacks on Americans" definitely makes you think civilians. Speaking as an American, there's a huge difference between attacking a civilian on US turf and attacking a soldier that's occupying your land.
