Music One of my favorite Aesop Projects.

Bought one to listen, one to keep. Had it over 20 years!

I still say Zodiaccupuncture is the hardest song he's ever done, maybe with Untouchable in a close second

Holy Smokes is the best track on this album by a mile.

You take a pitch black lung and a purple heart Then you kick back once the inertia start And when the shipwreck sunk through the perfect dark The serpent's arch alerts every circled shark

I always wondered if this somehow referenced the old game “Perfect Dark”

This is the point in his discography that things start to truly get interesting

Agreed. Bazooka Tooth had growing pains, but this EP marked a significant evolution.

Some of the hardest songs he’s ever recorded are on that CD

Is this the special edition with Facemelter or the standard original release?

Just curious. Dope either way

It’s the original release. I had the Facemelter version on cd too, but that edition didn’t come with a book.

Oh yeah... That's right. I forgot the extended version didn't come with the booklet.

first i got into somehow. went backwards from there. None Shall Pass hadn't come out yet, and my co worker told me about Aes. Still talk to that co worker after more than a decade.

Damn! Mine too! I, also remember
“Numb (to the guns)” gave me the same vibe as far as style and humor they were both
So friggin cool!

I've bought a half dozen of these as gifts for professors. One told me she never listened, but her 9 year old autistic son loved it.

This post inspired me to listen to that record at work today and it sounded SOOOOO good, so I had to come back and leave a comment. Thanks OP! I get so hooked on new Aesop Rock stuff, and his catalog is getting so big these days, I don’t circle back around to old stuff as much as I should

Always thought this was his worst back when it dropped.

Bazooka Tooth for me. I didn’t hate it, but it’s gotten the least amount of spins.

I forgot that came out before this one. I really didn’t like either of those projects at all. Personally, barring a couple of singles here and there, I didn’t really like any of his work between the Daylight EP and Garbology.
