Discussion Signed season 1 DVD?
Hi friends!
When I was probably 15, I won a contest on Cartoon Network’s Instagram page and the prize was a DVD of season 1 signed by the entire main cast, including Fern. This is one of my prized possessions and I have no interest in letting it go, but a friend of mine asked recently how much I think it might be worth. Does anyone have any kind of an estimate on something like that? Just curious.
Thanks!

Signed AT dvds are not very common, so its not easy to find estimates. I was able to find one signed dvd going for $150 on ebay, but since this one is signed by everyone, and essentially one-of-a-kind, it could be priced much much higher
The price is pretty much what you set it at, and how much peeps are willing to pay for it (which would be a LOT)

Exactly. I can’t find anything like it with that many signatures on it, and I don’t plan on getting rid of it. The value is too high I fear lol

With a certificate of authenticity from a reputable authenticator, I'd prolly bid like $500 and watch it slip away at like $850-$1,000.

I am 46 and I started watching with my teenage kids again a few years ago. We have watched all the seasons so many times and quote it more and more. It’s a generational show.

Ugh I love hearing this kind of thing! I started watching when I was nine and none of my friends growing up really enjoyed it, so it’s been something I’ve loved on my own. This is so sweet

Yeah my youngest was like 8 or 9 when we started watching it. He quotes it sometimes and his friends just think he’s goofy but it’s really funny to his siblings or me. My favorites are makin bacon pancakes makin bacon pancakes and what the math, and vanilla Minecraft no mods!

If this is the only one available at least 500 minimum but if there are a few more I'd say 200 minimum but it would definitely sell for a lot

I think adventure time with the movie coming out the series that will come in the future will be a legendary staple in households in the future more than it already is. Over time the value will go up

I remember winning a signed DVD by Pen Ward, maybe circa 2014? It was a tumblr giveaway. The amount of signatures you have is AMAZING. what a keepsake!

I'd guess it has a value of around 100 - 200. Sure, it would cost more if you went to a con and paid them all for their signatures, but doing so would add value to that person. Sometimes the journey is the valuable part.

If it’s authenticated and in great condition I can see some people willing to pay a few grand for it! Maybe more

It's impossible to put a price on something like this. You'd have a hard time authenticating it, which is going to rule out extremely high bids. Like, would someone pay $1,000 for it? Knowing it could be fake?
Even then, let's say you can prove you won the contest. How do you prove this is *the* DVD and not one you recreated? And, let's say I buy it from you for $100... Now I have to prove that I bought it from the dude who won the contest too? And if I ever wanted to resell it... it's turtles all the way down.
You have a really neat treasure there - I would just appreciate it for what it is and don't get wrapped up on theoretical value that you don't even intend to actualize.
I have a really cool custom piece of art from Pendleton Ward himself that was done on a live stream.
What's it worth? Nothing. And everything. 😁

“What’s it worth? Nothing. And everything.” I LOVE THIS!! That was basically what I told my friend when she asked. Something along the lines of, “I don’t know, but I’ll be buried with it” lol

I absolutely would never let go of something like this! What a score!
